Angry Suggestions pls - All New Fiesta Sedan EDIT: Bought the previous gen Fiesta SXi

I have booked All New Fiesta Sedan in the month of May 2011. There are four variants available in both Diesel and Petrol....I am going to opt Diesel model, but yet to decide on the variant. This will be done based on their pricing structure which will be announced by 14th July 2011

High level feature list of different variants are captured below -

    A. Style

[ABS with EBD, Driver and Passenger side airbag + Engine Immobilizer+ AUX in + Audio control on steering wheel+ Digital trip meter+ Low fuel warning]

    B. Trend

    [ S.No - A + Chrome radiator Grille+ Alloys+ Fog lamp]

    C. Titanium

[ S.No - B+Voice Controls+ ORVM Electrically foldable+USB/Bluetooth/Leather strapped steering wheel, Metallic finishes in certain places like gear knob, AC Vents & Instrument clusters+Distance to empty+Digital clock]

    D. Titanium+

    [ S.No - C+ Cruise Control+Reverse Parking censors]

Since all those safety features are covered in the basic version itself, Iam thinking of going for a basic diesel version STYLE

I would like to add the following onto the car through aftermarket purchases

Blue tooth/7" or above screen / Facility to play movies on that screen/Maps /Reverse parking censors (not mandatory)/

Please suggest me an integrated product covering most of them, if not all of them. What would be the approximate cost of it?

Along with the above Alloys and Leather seats will be included

PS: I have a Sub-Woofer (MTX) which I wanted to use in this car

PS-1: I guess that price difference between the lower most variant & top end would be minimum Rs.1L.

Edit: Also how effective are tuning boxes (Pete/Race Dynamics) for the diesel cars? Will it affect the warranty?

Will that angry icon gets into the subject automatically upon no replies after certain views? Nice one, Iam not really angry, but request GH'ian to throw my some light on my query. I wanted to utilize this time for research & get myself prepared before they announce their prices

There is good kenwood head unit that comes with add ons for maps and screens. MechaniX will be able to give you further updates on that, he has this running in his e-class.

As for the tuning boxes it will be a while before you get a box if the diesel engine is a new one. So suggest you drive the car around for the first few months as is till Pete's develops a box for this engine.

You can get the Pioneer 4390DVD. It has everything except BT. It is BT ready and you can get the BT adapter separately. GPS is separate too I think and needs to be plugged into the RGB input at the back. Costs 23K.

The Kenwood 7036BT comes with everything included. Costs 35K in gray. There is a barely used one on sale in classifieds. You may want to take a look at that.

Thanks for the replies mclaren1885 and Gilead . Reviews on the NFS HU indicates that its very good. Iam looking for an option where I can retain the HU, which will save me considerable costs on it. Is it feasible that way?

Assuming I purchase Kenwood 7036BT..will it be a straight fit to NFS. Where does the system fits in

Just buy a separate Parrot BT adapter and a Map My India device for maps and GPS if you want to keep the stock HU. You can't get video without installing a separate HU.

And if you are buying a separate HU that has everything integrated, then it will go into that area where the current HU is at. The one which says OK, CD, radio, 1, 2, 3 etc. That entire thing will have to be removed and a 2 DIN dash kit of that shape procured from here or abroad will have to be installed. The HU will then fit neatly into the dash kit.

Getting rid of that mobile inspired console is a bonus now . But that looks like a tedious job for me...even the door lock/unlock provision sits there. Whats your take? Any installers in Chennai who can do a good job on it?

Looks like this adapter (3K) and Map my India (15K) will costs around 18K....Makes sense to spend additional 18K & get a Kenwood 7036BT installed.

If I choose the base version, I have to opt for an alloys & A.Leather seats apart from this. One thing that I miss in basic version is "Auto AC".

I am thinking of replacing the head unit on the Verna, just the head unit. Now, the things I need are
    1) Cd/mp3 playing ability, DVD would be nice.
    2) Bluetooth.
    3) iPhone/iPod USB connection, with ability to control the device from the HU.
    4) Remote control.
    5) LCD screen.
    6) Option to attach a reversing camera.
    7) Front AUX input.
    8) Reasonable sound quality.
    9) Should work with the stock speakers.
    10) Should go with the decor.
    11) Would like to avoid Sony.

Could anyone please recommend a good HU like that?

If I need maps working in Kenwood 7036BT, Do I need to purchase this as well?? Buy MapmyIndia Navigator : GPS Navigation in India | Portable Navigation Device (PND) with India's best maps.

Then the costs goes upward of Rs.55k. Is that right?

You suggestion of Pioneer 3350 BT seems to be another alternative here 20k+20k = Rs.40K.

Other option is to just go for Pioneer 3350 BT covering the requirement of - Blue tooth/7" or above screen / Facility to play movies on that screen

May be at a later point of time, for Maps, Either a standalone unit from map my india for Rs.9k or 14k can be fitted. As of now removing the Reverse parking censors requirement out.

    Inputs pls

PS: Mods please edit the title

Finalized with Pionner 4390. Went for this, instead of 3350BT, due to the bigger screen size. BT does not look like a must future for me...if required, I can go for an adapter later. Will fit my active Sub-Woofer (12") too. Have to purchase components for the front door. Budget is around 7.5K & will be driven by the HU. (any suggestion on this is welcome)

Focal Access ... these do not need much power and will be sufficiently powered by the HU till you upgrade to an amplifier ... will fit in the budget as well and one of the best components in this range ..
