dude, I think you caught my brainwaves, I was just clicking decent pics to post this thing up , your pics made my pics go down the drain..

well other than that you could even ask the roofing industry guys for BITUMEN SHEETS aka your same dambar sheets but with a metallic backing, right so like your waterproofing sheets..

waterproofing sheets don't have a metallic backing due to the fact it has to stick around various holes in roofs or the surface where it has to be stuck too and being soft helps..

Bitumen sheets are used for thermal insulation and waterproofing off course but on flat roofs.. I just tore off a sample from a hardware store to take pics of it.. It has an aluminium backing and the black tar..

and yes your sheets have a different formulation, than pure tar sheets sold elsewhere..

and no they don't have asbestos its banned but its darn hard to get it off surfaces and clothes.. Its not toxic but the solvent can be..

only thing you need to be afraid of is while installation do it in a well ventilated area, because as it is heated it gives off hydrogen sulfide a dangerous gas..

Thanks for clarifying buddy. Regarding the bituminous sheets with metal layer will be the best option to go for. Will be denser and greater effective. I may have stolen from your brainwaves but still, I missed the image. Please post.

Where do we get the bitumin sheets? How much does it retail. I want to cover the complete floor part by removing the seats. Just spoke to A.S.S and they said they can do it.

      TannayK

Did you damp all 4 doors? How much sq.feet of noise kill is needed? And how many layers did u use it on the doors?

Also, I inquired about under-body rubber based coating from 3M with 1 year warranty for Rs 2100. Is it worth?
just do the 3m underbody teflon coating aka rubber coating aka rust prevention coating and you will see 50% less noise levels..

you want to reduce more then, use bitumen sheets, if a high budget is okay go for noise kill or dynamat,

also get some foam sheets, like the ones you get in the shirt packages and use them under the hood (dynamat and other types will come off due to heat.)

do this and you will find that the noise has gone...

still more damping then go for the whole floor part,

I say keep this as last option because, the wiring harness which goes around the car body (front to back) is actually cable tied to the floor, these cable ties even the A.S.C guys don't have..
and have to be removed if you are going to remove the fiber carpet.. so I tell you to do this as last resort..
