Back in September when me and my brother were checking the Yeti, the Sales Person was offering Rs. 60k discount on the Showroom OTR price.
Going the experimental way to attain the best possible result with least investment. :)
Here I would like to share that I inquired about the Yeti with Nawab Motors Delhi in aug and response has been fairly good.
Next day vehicle was at my office for test drive and constant follow ups after that.
In aug they were offering around 1 lac discount on ambiente ex showroom price under some Skoda celebration scheme, which is now off.
Any update with anyone, regarding tuned down version which was in pipeline for yeti.
Won't the Ford Eco-Sport make for a good (cheaper) option at about almost 1/2 the price? Or maybe the upcoming Renault Duster?
Sweat wipes off, road rash doesn't. Wear your gear!!!
Will have to see in flesh and blood.
If duster includes all the goodies offered in upmarket crossover then I don't think they will be able to offer it below 12-14L bracket.
Many times it happens that pre launch price indicators are way below the actual launch price. Happened in case of Yeti also. Before launch feelers were top most model will be around 12L.
Moreover as they say known devil is better then unknown. Skoda is our known devil and Renault - yet to prove their A.S.S.
Eco-sport - When are they planning to launch and at what cost ?
Toyota Fortuner is seen as a VFM coz of the T badge and nothing else.
Toyota Camry MT|TATA Safari EX 4x2

See if you are thinking about yati then I will suggest you to drop your idea because what cars I am going to suggest, they are far better them yati and most important point is that they will save your money upto Rs5 to 6 lakhs.
Mahindra XUV500 and Force One SUV are two cars which are best then yati. I had comared them with yati both cars have more engine displacement, torque, mileage and seating capacity. Both cars have seating capacity of 7 people but yati has only five.
Mahindra XUV500 will cost you RS 10,80,000
Force One SUV will cost you RS 10,65,219
Skoda Yeti will cost you RS 16,89,908
Now skoda yati is not reliable it needs high maintenance charge and parts are also expensive as compare to both cars in-fact XUV500 is perfect in handling, comfortable ride and for off road driving.

Just saw update on SKODA india website, YETI with tuned down version (110 BHP).
Only front wheel drive.
Now variant shows 3 versions instead of earlier 2.
Seems SKODA is upto something. Lets wait and watch.
Update, JMD and I are playing a new game these days. Every week JMD will call me up and offer a test drive just the day after, at my place. Ofcourse no one would show up.
Today I booked YETI 4X4, Elegance C.Beige from Nawab Motors, Noida
