Sanchit87 I admire your honest and unbiased analysis! I accept all your views as true, and true in your perspectives!

First two paras of my post are addressed to the problem of height/head room in Figo itself and not with Beat!

Next was just a discussion about Beat, in my honest perspective, in positive reply to the lazybrain's post.

    2. Chevy spark & beat.
    3, VW Polo
    4. Maruti Astar
    5. Old generation Maruti Zen
    6. Maruti Alto & 800

This is the only list i remember and all above cars i was either on backseat or behind the wheels!
My whole post was just an elaboration of the point of view - "dis-Comfort to huge and tall guys" and I mentioned two cars only as one is mine and another is the one - the thread is about!

Hope you haven't hurt (if so, I am sorry!) and expect to take my post sportingly!

Hey dev...I am not hurt man....everything cool....I take evryone's views sportingly...I do agree to your points as we'll...but I was just trying to put myself across that beat is roomy enough for average height people....and I agreed that I can't say much about the head room. I am just saying it's on par with the rest of the competition in terms of legroom n might be uncomfortable for tall n big guys...n trying to say that I find this car...overall better then all the hatches under 5/6 lacs...
    Just giving my ownership review...
    Don't worry....it's all cool....cheers.

Just a small update after the first "Re-assurance" service...yes, that's what the chevy guys call it.
Nothing much was done in this service...but they did some overall lubrication and i was charged Rs. 390 for it...i seriously have no clue about this and thought it was unnessecary...but didn't have the time and energy to argue on this...
The car is performing well and has done around 1500 kms...well didn't use it for a week...as was out of town. The mileage i am getting is between 16 - 17 kmpl in Delhi traffic...not too bad..no?
I seriously want it to give 18 kmpl...i know i am being greedy...but expect it to give a bit more than my friends swift..which easily gives him around 16 kmpl.
Well...evrything about the engine is good...considering it's just a 1 litter engine. But, it every time reminds me...that there is a diesel engine under the hood. I mean the engine does makes a racket when taken beyond 2k...i mean anyone can make out that it's a diesel..unlike the 4 cylinder ones. Its not annoying but maybe coming from japanese petrol engines...it'll take time for me to get used to it or 3 cylinder engines do make considerably more noise than it's 4 cylinder avatar..???
I mean if i am cruising at let say 60 or 80....it's great...no noise...but as soon as i accelerate, it makes noise.
Anothe thing beyond 2.5k...the engine has that bassy n heavy thrum...it's like a bass note playing...unlike the 1.3 ddis...which is smooth even beyond 3k.
Therefore i do not take it beyond 3k as of now...also because following the running in method of not taking it beyond 3k...most of the times keeping it under 2.5k.
Though i don't find any of the above annoying...but just though of sharing it with y'all n get some inputs on it.
One thing great about this car is it's...ride quality...especially after changing the tyres to 175/65 r14, its improved further. it's great for city like gurgaon...where the roads are in a dilapidated state. Had plans to upsize to 15" alloys..but completely dropped the idea due to the conditions of the road in gurgaon. I am pretty much satisfied with the roads in Delhi...especially the south side.
The first complete service is after 5k or 6 months...performance and fuel economy should improve after that...and the engine might become a bit smoother too...hope so.

Accept my belated congratulations. I too seriously considered BEAT Petrol while finalising a car for me. Though i liked Polo more and bought one.
BEAT is no doubt a very good car and it will look young even after 10 years due to its futuristic design. Enjoy your ride.

Sanchit87 Congrats on your new car! Please keep the review flowing. For NVH levels, you should look in the long run (atleast 50k+ KMS) to see how it performs. My brother is planning to buy the Beat Diesel. I too did a short TD of this car. I am addicted to its low end torque! Excellent for city driving conditions. Boot and rear leg room is just like my A-Star which is poor.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Well...would certainly do that...give my feedback on the car from time to time.
But, i am surprised to hear that u find its rear legroom less...to that an extent that u feel it's as much as the a-star. Were the front seat pushed all the way back...cause i think even if they are...the legroom would be better then the a-star...no offense.
I too have 2 a-stars in my immediate family for city runs...but it's rear legroom is just pathetic...i mean be it short or tall person...i believe anyone with legs would feel uncomfortable in the rear.
Even the front...the space is no where near the beat..same for the i10...beat is way more spacious in the front then its competitors.(indica not taken into consideration...hehe)

I don't know from where do people find beats rear legroom less....i mean I've owned swift and find beats rear legroom as much as the old swift...and sometimes even more due to the almost flat rear floor. I even find it's rear legroom more then the i10...my grand dad has one.
No offense to anyone...just my opinion...and none of the reviews I've read or seen on tv have said anything about it's rear legroom being less. But, a-star has been very well criticized for its lack of rear legroom and oversell space...front n back. Beat on the other hand...has very well packaged interiors...be it space, roominess, cubby holes or quality.
Guys..please don't take it seriously..no offense to anyone. Its rear legroom might be less for some...but i don't think it's as bad as the a-star...no way..
