This flag-gate simply refuses to die. No one cares and yet both Ferrari and Alonso keep digging it out of grave even today!
When Bernie Ecclestone blasted Ferrari for the pathetic letter seeking clarification about the yellow flags, it infuriated Montezemolo.
"Ecclestone? You have to show respect for your elders, especially when they get to that stage in which they are no longer in control of what they say," Montezemolo is quoted by La Gazetta dello Sport. "However, old age is clearly incompatible with certain roles and responsibilities."

Alonso also hopped in.
"There were a lot of video clips on the internet and we knew our fans were asking for an explanation and so it was right for Ferrari to turn to the Federation for a clarification," he explained. "We got a reply and I think everything has now calmed down. I did not pay much attention to all the uproar this incident caused, but I felt we owed our fans an answer."
IMO if Alonso was really so concerned about his fans, it would have been far simpler to tell the fans that the pass was legal instead of causing an uproar and creating the flag-gate.
Wait! It doesn't end here! He further added more lines:
1. "People who see me in the streets hug me and call me gladiator or samurai."
2. "to be one of the greats of Formula 1"

This has left photoshopping fans confused.
Yesterday Alonso was a samurai...
... hoisting yellow flags.
Now,
He's a gladiator? And, what about being one of greats in F1? No idea! He probably sees himself among Aryton Senna and M Schumacher!

The F1 Times 2012 Awards:
Driver of the Year:
Kimi Raikkonen
A bit surprising for sure, but he did do a remarkable job.
Team of the Year:
RBR
No Competition.
Race of the Year:
Abu Dhabi
Surprise again. Hami's retirement, Alonso's charge, Vettel's magic and Kimi's radio msgs sealed it.
Car of the Year:
RB
Obvious.
Rookie of the Year:
Romain Grosjean
Was brilliant in Qualifying, stayed within Kimi's pace range throughout; no matter what stewards think, he has driven well.
Craziest Moment:
Kimi Radio
Nothing comes closer.
Most Improved Team:
Lotus
2 podiums in 2011 to 10 in 2012, pretty nice indeed.
Overtake of the Year:
Kimi on Schumi - Belgium
These two gave us some awesome moves throughout the season, constantly battling in the mid ranks. The Belgium move was an awesome app'n of a great tactic by the Iceman.
Most Under-rated driver:
Kimi Raikkonen
Very surprising, generally this goes to the back-markers. But there were lots of questioning the Iceman's ability to still have the pace and the hunger after 07; and after a two year hiatus, these only grew louder.
Man of the Year:
Kimi Raikkonen
Just goes on to tell bout how much the man is adored and respected.
Kimi's comeback has been amazing. His fan-base has increased tremendously; probably the Schumi heads are now Iced completely. 2013 is going to be even better: Lotus will be itching to be a full fledged top gun, a very hungry Ferrari & Alonso, Inspired VEttel & RBR, and a rejuvenated Button in McL.
The Lotus cartoons, just keep getting better:
