Yes you got it all correct. However the 1.6 petrol is not confirmed as of now but it is a part of a contingency plan in case the govt decides to tax new diesel cars heavily.Originally Posted by Babbanji Franklin
Mustang.101 :- Noob question BUT better to ask than harbouring doubts - I'm still confused on the flavours Ecosport is expected to come in ? From what I understand, it has a 1.0L petrol engine (MT and AT) and also a 1.6 Petrol (called Duratec ???) The diesel variant is the 1.5L TDCi...is it ?? Please enlighten me !

Mustang.101, Thanks for the review.
Looks like Ecosport topped your list.
It would have been nice if you should have compared with other SUV's rather than comparing with New Fiesta & Fiesta Classic as both are from different segments.
As it is yet to launch, may be that is the restriction you may have. If that is the case, then ok.
Good to hear that the Car handles well.
What will be the expected FE for this vehicle?
EDIT :- Saw your reply for yksharma's query.
20Km/Ltr.... Ho... My GOD... 120BHP too. What else you can ask for? A Mean Machine.
Which will be the best buy? 1.0 or 1.5?
Whether the 1.5 is tuned for Ecosport?

The better buy according to me is definitely the 1.0 Ecoboost. The 1.5 TDCi is no match for it except that the diesel may have 10-15% extra FE.
The Ecoboost is zippier, faster, loads more fun, has less weight and almost the same FE as the diesel. Oh and the 6 speed dual clutch auto box is superb, much better than the 5 speed manual. The 1.5 TDCi will be similar to the one found on the new fiesta TDCi.
