Yes. But, regular maintenance is a must. Am I right?

I am trying to manage (arrange) the funds otherwise. If done, then I won't part with the Fusion. Its my child, you know.

I sincerely hope that you manage the funds and don't have to sell the car. *fingers crossed*
And i respect your decision regarding regular maintenance even though you might be selling this car. Respect!

Mileage update after installing the RD tuning kit.

    Happy news.

Continuing with my post on 29th February, 2012, There has been a noted increase in mileage and softness after the RD kit was fitted.

I put in 102.66 ltrs. of diesel, and the car covered total of 2005 kms with this much of diesel, thereby giving a mileage of 19.53 kms to a liter of diesel.

And THIS TOO, with 450 kms with A.C. on.

Before the RD kit was installed, the mileage I was getting was max 17.91kmpl.

Add to it the softness. And there is NO BLACK SMOKE during normal acceleration.

So, an increase of about 1.62 kms to a ltr. of diesel (9.0% over the stock) with increased pick up, no change in smoke levels, and smooth engine.

    That's very good indeed.

Hope you can manage finances from elsewhere & do not have to sell this sweetheart of yours.

deepfusion , thanks for Fusion TDCi review and keeping this updated with the ownership experiences.
Fusion is a practical, fun to drive , spacious car and has high ground clearance. For me it is head turner. Unfortunately it is no more on sale by Ford India.

Many FASSs seem to have this problem but it is improving slowly. Also Ford India is very much responsive and customer oriented unlike some other car makers.

I think Ford India could not project/advertise/market Fusion as they should have. People felt that it was over priced and not worth the price. Perception of higher maintenance of Ford cars also kept buyers away which is not entirely true. May be accidental repair cost is high but regular maintenance costs should be ok.

But, on breaking up these expenses into service, repair, accidental repairs, and accessories, including the music system, it gives a clear picture.

    Have a look.[/FONT]

On service, I have so far spent Rs. 22,759.
    On repairs, Rs. 2,123,
On accidental repairs, Rs. 3,028, all due to the zero depreciation policy,
On accessories, including music system, Rs. 42,000.
I think maintenance cost is not that high for you as well, its accessory and ICE which is a major chunk of the total cost.

Liked the Fusion pics with snow. The one thing which I do not like in Fusion is its stock Alloys, wonder why Fusion got most boring alloys (look like wheel caps), even Ford Ikon has these alloys!

Hmmm , I think you may post the review even when your Fusion is not washed. It will still look good.

damn! i thought for a second Ford has bought back the Fusion! i really loved this car...

the Fusion and yes, my other secret love the Palio, were before their times...the public simply could not appreciate it, friends had it and they sold it off casually to move onto the next best car which makes me sad.

Me, purchasing a car means only if i like it a lot and I want to hold onto my cars...no new car after every 3-5 yrs...hopefully for my second car i will be able to afford a Ford (preferably the Fiesta hatch will that ever come to India...sigh...okay at least the sedan)
