Good Pics, hope you munch many a mile with the Yeti. Interiors look good and the build quality just is awesome.

Thanks.
Got those mats. Good stuff.
Tyres are not all terrain. Just normal ones. I think skoda should offer all terrain, at least as an option.
Yeti in India does not come with park assist. Only there are front and rear obstruction sensors to assist in parking and they are pretty useful.
Front and back obstructions are well indicated in central touch screen of music system.
Earlier I used to think that sensors will not be of much use but after using I find them very convenient. Now I have developed good confidence in them and use extensively while reversing and even while negotiating a tight turn they are very helpful in indicating the clearance at the corners.
Regarding discounts dealers are offering discounts upto 1.7-1.8 L on elegance depending upon the colour available with them in stock. All are eager to clear the 2011 manufactured vehicles. Although mine colour was specially ordered. Good time to buy since discounts on 2011 vehicles are good and excise duty is expected to increase post budget.

Park assist is the feature by which vehicle automatically selects the park-able space and then aligns and parks itself, driver need not control the steering but just needs to engage reverse or forward gear as recommended by on board display. It is a kind of robotic parking.
This feature is not offered in India.
On the other hand India Yeti is just equipped with obstruction sensors which provide graphical and sound warning for obstructions. They do assist very well for parking but are not the feature called 'park assist'

So, drove YETI for nearly 3500kms.
No major complaints regarding the vehicle.
Getting final registration done took some serious follow-ups with NAWAB motors.
Once, after around 2000 kms, license plate bulb failure warning light came up which vanished after 2-3 days. Some loose connection sort of thing I suppose or may be YETI is equipped with some self-healing feature.
Rain sensing wipers could have been better. They seem to be feminine in nature i.e. operate at their own will without any understandable logic in light drizzle condition.
Sometimes do not operate while windshield is full of water droplets and sometimes multiple strokes even when glass is clear of water droplets.
Beige leather seats are already getting soiled, cleaning will be required soon.
Otherwise it’s a great city use vehicle (didn’t get much time these days to take her to some hill station). Although a trip to Dharamshala is on the cards in couple of weeks.
I seem to be spoiled in two months of using this machine as now don’t feel comfortable driving any Korean or Japanese cars which I enjoyed earlier.
Consistently giving between 15.5 to 16 kmpl in city driving with climate control always on.
Best I managed was 20.4 kmpl in 25 kms trip from Sec 6, Noida to Greater Noida through expressway.
Great city driving. At no point till today I felt concerned due to size of this vehicle. Handles like a compact hatchback. Very comfortable in parking and on narrow streets.
I need to know a point regarding climate control. Laura or Superb users should be able to help.
My YETI elegance is equipped with automatic climate control. Now if I need to cut off the outer air flow in cabin can it be done without switching the blower or climate control on?
I am not able to do it.
Although using auto recirculate feature along with climate control gives satisfactory results but still I want to know if it is possible.
Every time I need to block the outside air from entering into the cabin I need to switch the blower or climate control on. Please enlighten.
You know, the Yeti is the sort of car you'd buy, if you want a sedan, but are just too scared of driving it on our pot-holed roads.
It's a Laura on stilts, and in many ways, it's the PERFECT car for India.
Think about it, you're a family of 4-5. You do the occasional trips to Ooty or Goa. You want the boot, but you also want versatility. And most importantly, you don't want to visit the service center for a punctured oil-sump courtesy the stone on the highway.
The Yeti fits the need very well. Like a well-worn glove.
It's reasonably sized too, so you won't have to worry about driving it in maddening city traffic, or parking it anywhere either.
I just wish more people see the light, and buy this incredible machine.
And I sincerely hope Skoda get their act together and clean-up. They might ruin wonderful products, just because of their forgettable after-sales-service.
Congratulations on your ride, and wish you several miles of fun and happiness! Drive safe, fellow Gearhead!![]()

correction ... These are figures as indicated in information display of car. On comparison with tankful to tankful basis, it was observed that these are higher by about 10%, also observed by various users on team bhp. Hence my actual city driving figures stand at around 14 kmpl, which is not bad in my opinion for this size of engine and power.
Done 6500 kms. Got first free checkup done yesterday.
Washing, filters cleaning, tyre rotation and checkup was done FOC additional chrarges for wheel wheel alignment / balancing and oil top up were Rs. 2006/- inclusive of everything, taxes etc.
Overall YETI is doing great and AC too is very effective even in Delhi heat when temperature is touching 46 degrees.
No problems till now.
Leaving for Dalhousie on 15th morning on 4 days holiday, lets see how YETI handles hilly terrain.
