I think it is funny when people compare the Ertiga to the Innova. Don't get me wrong but then the true comparision will be with the Toyota Avanza. not the innova.

Maruti Ertiga having some problems. I have read in some forums experience of a few guys. There is a oil leak issue happening. Thought this was one of case. But this was faced by some other guys also. May be some manufacturing defect in some batch. Hope that Ertiga owners in GH not facing this issue - blackhorn, venki7744. Poor QC by Maruti. Hope they rectify this issue very soon. Sad for the customers who spent 10 lakhs and get lemons.

Oh, never had issues with oil leak so far..but I think there is some issue with either the front wheels or ABS. Last week went for a long drive and it was raining, had to apply sudden brake once or twice, one of the instances the front wheel (driver side) made a big "thud" sound, initally thought it was a pothole but there were none, will have to take it to the service center this weekend. Hope that it would be a quick fix . Thanks machi vijay for the information and the links, would surely be on the lookout for such issues.

Saw a Brand New Ertiga with Temp Reg No stalled at the Signal at Lingarajapuram, Bangalore on the way to work. The Driver was trying to start, but the vehicle was not starting at all.

When i took delivery of Manza, similar thing happened to me. After refilling in fuel pump, my car did not start. in my car the clutch need to be depressed for starting. I had to press teh clutch fully 100 % with all strength and then only engine started. This was rectified later. The switch under the clutch for starting needed to be adjusted so that with half clutch and if we crank, engine will start. May be some similar problem here also.

Inquired casually at a Maruti show case stall near my office about waiting period of Ertiga ZDI. Shocked to hear that it is anything between 9 month and 1 year. Sales executive says it is due to shortage of air bag parts and alloy wheels. On lighter note, even real estate builders do not take this much time to give possession of a flat.

Hats off to people who wait religiously to own one. Surely Ertiga is an value for money utility car and priced smartly by Maruti Suzuki.

Yesterday on MC road, kerala (quite good stretches, curves good only for CARS not BIG ONES,usual indian highway traffic and some small humps which can flown over.), i met much awaited guy ERTIGA ZDI.. I had 3 onboard in FIGO titanium and ERTIGA ( TN registration) had 5 .after enjoying its size from behind, blip, downshift to 4th i pulled up and a stare to wake him up....within seconds he was a tailgater ( trusts ABS a lot i guess)..held him for some miles...felt like tailgating was getting too much close.. lifted my foot and he was out sight soon enough..as told earlier 100 kmhr is easy in figo but not after that..with lot of hard pedaling and help from indian traffic(an autorickshaw can meet the BMW again) , i was in 30ft range... but again, once a stretch comes he is flat out, gone off....

So i think this car is something like ford fusion priced lesser... cannot be compared with innova category guys or with other cars... Innova or others can never withstand a figo like car on highway due to the body roll,FOS (factor of safety) and other factors.. today a person enquired about ertiga and started comparing it with innova,,even though i tried to explain not to compare both..i didnt have points to explain it out..he was saying on the basis of price, both are of almost same price. what you all say??
