True, but then I would have to tell that I never have driven a Ferrari because I hate the guts of them. They are only overprized Alfa Romeos or to be more precise a copy of it.Quote:

Due to my work I have driven over 10,000 cars and trucks for testing, development, special work and have owned just a few less than 100.
My all time favourite was my Fiat Panda Mk1 4x4, which I got smashed up by jobs that terrorised the area (but I have sorted it with them since).
When I got the Panda I had to go with a friend somewhere. At one point he wanted to se how good the Panda is off road. So we went through the woods. It was pitch black and we came to some open bit, which was green and very hilly. We had no clue where we were. But it was just perfect to play with the 4x4 till we realised we were plughing through a golf course. :rolling:
Don't say too loudly. Fate might change it. :mrgreen:Quote:

Enzo Ferrari was a Alfa Romeo GP driver. The engines he raced with were then basically copied in the later cars as was most of the technology. When you look at todays Alfa designs, which Alfa isn't allowed to build you see where the real Alfa heritage is. Alfa and Lancia merged long before they wer integrated in the Fiat group. Just look at their engines compared to what Ferrari churned out at that time.
Alfa in the DTM was rather dominating as was Lancia in group B. Ferrari in F1 was a rubbish hole at any given time when other forces didn't come to their aid.
When you compare the Lamborghinis of the time with the Ferraris the Lamborghinis were technically far superior. The built quality was about as flimsy as Ferrari's but that's Italy for you.
Hmm.. but what about the current situation??
And if Alfa and Lancia were doing so well, why did Fiat take over them?? They went bankrupt??
The whole of Italy is bankrupt when the Mafia wants it to happen. It is a good way making money in Italy. There is so many political issues involved and corruption that even your politicians can learn from (just in case you think that your politicians are the only corrupt ones in the world).
