Same here. I also feel the same whenever I go on a trip and climb the stairs.

Hence left the fight and gave the throne to his brother. As per the religious books he was one of the bravest, strongest and visionary and have a deep love for his country people.

      Bursting the King's Ego

Just outside the Bhagavan Bahubali's basadi, is a small temple for Gullekayi Ajji.

It is said that a king wanted to showcase his might and wealth. He organized a Maha Mastakabhishekha for Bhagavan Bahubali in which the statue of washed with milk. I also ordered that the entire milk supply would be provided him him and the milk boright by any body else should not be used. So people continued to pour the milk on the head of the statue. The abhishek is never complete untill the milk flows down and reaches the feet of the Bhaghavan. All milk brought by King got over, then a old women arrived with a small bowl (gullekai is the outer shell of co-conut) of milk. Eventually when that milk was poured on the head, it got converted into a large stream of milk that not only flowed till the feets of the Bhagavan, but also created a small flood of milk around.

Thus the King realized that it is the love and passion that makes the difference for the Bhagavan and not the demonstration of might and wealth.

Was this board restored or was it still in the same state. Because the last time when I went there the trustee had mentioned that they were getting it repaired when asked.

I do not remember seeing this board. I do not have picture of this board as well, probably the new board is yet to be received/installed.

This is installed next to the main idol itself. See if you take the left side of the entrance and enter the 24 thirtankaras and when you come out on the right side after seeing the white idol, you will see this. This is near to the Poojari who will be standing near the foot of Bahubali.

Also, this bell was used when doing pooja to the idol on a daily basis itseems. But now they use it only on some special occasion itseems. Frankly speaking I forgot the exact reason why it was tied (IIRC the wind used to be so heavy that it used to move the whole bell itseems - something on the same lines)
