Lightbulb Ford Fiesta Classic a good buy now?

      Hello Friends,

Wondering whether buying a brand new Ford Fiesta Classic 1.6 LXI/CLXI is a good option now?
I'm not too worried about the resale value part, the only concern is will Ford discontinue the product to promote new Fiesta?
That would be a disaster in terms of servicing and spares.

Dude - it's now known as just 'Classic' and not 'Fiesta Classic'

I know. Said 'Fiesta Classic' for everyone's benefit. Not everyone knows about it. I came to know when I took the TD this weekend.
      Dude.

I assure you that this car will not be discontinued for at least 3 years and even 15 years after that date you will get full support from ford regarding parts, service etc.

We still support all ford escorts and mondeos and fusion ie. the discontinued models. Our company policy is to support cars fully for a period of 15 years after discontinuation.
      Ford Fiesta 1.6 (2010),
      Ford Fusion+ TDCi (2010),
      Trek 3500 (2012)
In France or Belgium till march 20.

I think Ford themselves are confused, passing on the confusion to the mass.

I feel they should have gone the Hyundai way. They released "Verna" in India while Accent is still marketed. Worldwide, Verna is sold as Accent new versions. The current "Fluidic Verna" is Accent Gen 4 (Accent Blue)

Happy to know of Ford's support...love Ford's...nothing matches Ford when it comes to a budget curve muncher...generally the handling beats the pants of everybody.

Any chance of seeing the Ford Focus or Fiesta hatch in India anytime soon?

Great! by then i should have arranged for covered parking rather than my current roadside parking...am sure the Ecosport is going to do well but am not too fond of the SUV...prefer a hatch or sedan more...

wish Ford would at least release a tentative roadmap with tentative timeline for India...i know that Ford has a global release policy which is great but still something to dream about in spare time would be nice...

It was always a good option. Now the price is good too.
The only people who have a problem with FIAT are those who have never owned one!

Seems a very good option now. I was not very warm towards the Fiesta earlier but have started beginning to appreciate it after my recent experiences with the car. Knew it was a great handler but was pleasantly surprised at the ride quality experienced as a back seater during my recent Chennai-Bangalore-Chennai road trip. One of my friend has been owning a 1.4 TDCI since it was launched and done close to 1lakh kms on it and the car has aged pretty well.

Currently recommended it to one of my friends who has booked a Dzire VDI but he wasn't happy with his other friends experiences with most Ford A.S.S denying warranty claims due to simple mods like 100/90, after market alloys, tyre upsizes which other manufacturers are pretty lenient. One perception that I have seen with most people is that Ford is expensive to maintain though not in the league of Skodas/VW. In my friends case, his cost of ownership was not much considering that he had extended warranty and annual maintenance packages. However there were many parts that were replaced under warranty and he thanked himself for the extended warranty and the packages.
