22.5 psi is the max boost of my remapped car. I've forgotten the value of maximum rail pressure. I think It's higher than 23333 psi.

Remember Tadu telling me about the peak boost on your car, infact I was having a chat with Techie about the same last night. To make more power, maybe we need a bigger turbo, the stock one is almost being pushed to it's limits already

Today I checked the rail pressure using symbian application OBDAutodoctor. The maximum rail pressure is 23891 psi(1648 bar), Average pressure is 9715 psi (670 bar). The rail pressure during idle is about 330-340 bar( 4785 to 4930 bar).

That's only around 1340 bar. Is this a first generation CRDi?

Apparently, those logs are from when hrag and kb100 were "babbying" my stock car on our way back from Pala. They didn't rev the car like Tadu/Me to get the max possible values. I shall be testing the rail pressure on my car the next few days and shall report back. On the other car, it was clear it's a Gen II rail, reaching around 24066 psi once, but max value usually figures around the mid-late 23k mark.

PS - We shall be using this thread to post all Torque screenshots and data from all the tests hereon

I guess these values are of stock Cruze. Like eapen sir posted, when a Rail Pressure box is connected, an OBD 2 reader cannot give the actual fuel pressure values .

No, both cars had tuning boxes. One a RD and the other a Race Chip. What was also very evident is that the load on the engine also determines the max fuel rail pressure and the max boost. The figures we got while climbing the ghats was nowhere near the figures we got on the GQ.

Among all the 3 cars I've driven, I liked yours the most. So one thing is settled, I am definitely going in for a re-map for my car whenever that happens.

Yeah its true the stock one is being pushed to the limits. Bigger turbo means bigger mass and inertia to overcome. This would mean that the metals used for the turbo vanes and rotating mass would have to be lighter which means rare earth metals and stupendous cost. Would we pay more for it, is the question on GM's think tank. The car and engine can take more but the clutch and turbo is going to take a beating in our quest for more power at lower rpm's and at the very top end. I for one am extremely happy with the midrange and the bottom end after Sid massaged my car. Since I am on the wrong side of forty I am not very much in need of the top end too.

Not the same, Optra has FGT & Cruze has VGT.

Crap. It's always confusing to keep an eye on which car is running what turbo these days.
