      Help regarding projector setup

      hey guys!
i installed P8 HID conversion kit (bulb type H4) in my i20 some months ago, but recently i made up my mind to go for a projector setup without giving up on my current HID kit. the problem is there are no H4 type projectors available in the market. going with a new HID kit according to the projector type will be way out of my budget (and i'm not willing to sell my current kit at a throw-away price).
only one installer (a local nearby one) is claiming that he can use my H4 HID in his projectors (some chinese ones but with decent performance) but his job-quality is not up to the mark. i inquired many reputed installers about H4 projectors but all of them went blank. another one said he can install H4 in hella projectors but, again, they are out of my budget.
can anyone tell me from where can i source H4 projectors?

I am yet to see an HID projector which can take an H4 burner. It makes no sense to me to have a projector which can take an H4 capsule.

I guess the best case scenario is that you would have to buy new burners to suit your new projector's requirement (H1, D2S...). You could still use your existing ballasts as long as you take care of choosing the correct connector (AMP vs KET) with the new burners.

I cannot comment on what the "installer" was planning to do but just keep in mind that projector designs are pretty intricate and done using CAD tools worth a few millions. Even with it, what I've seen is that it goes through at least 3 protos before the final design fab out.

You don't have to. Just chose the appropriate connector while ordering the new burner so that it comes with the correct mating connector to match your old ballast.

Most likely it's gonna be an AMP connector. So far, I've seen only Philips using the KET connectors.
