      confusion between swift and ritz

I am planning to buy my first car on April. Now I am really confused with Swift and ritz.
Both have the same engines and I like the sportiness of swift, but then again both have same engine .
Maruthi says they had soften the swift's suspension and steering. They also altered the gear ratios. There is no word about the 0-100 timing of swift, handling around the corners and the "100km/hr in second gear thing" now.If the 0-100 performance and handling is not good then i will opt for Ritz as it offers more space and comfort.

Can any one point out the 0-100km/hr timing, handling of the new k-series swift.Only with these info i can choose to buy.
I hate polo due to its 3 pot engine and Figo due its non enthusiastic nature.Punto was an option but afraid of fiat's ass.Being my first car i need something that can be tried and tested.

If tried and tested is the one you are looking then why not look at i10 or GETZ once. Just do a TD and see the difference.

If the competition is between Swift and Ritz, I would rather go for Ritz, due to good response and space

If swift performance is now equal to ritz then I am also thinking of ritz. Now really missing that 1.3 litre esteem engine.
I always liked the swift for its old engine revv happy engine.

Wait until someone spills the bean about the K series engines. Now everyone are talking of Baleno's and Esteems. But sadly they are out of the hook now.

I'd still opt for Swift if its a drivers car that you're looking for. Even with revised suspension settings Swift would be more fun to drive than Ritz.

Now i am waiting for another month to get a full blown long term ownership report for the swift k-series.Lets see how much the deep the rabbit holes goes.

      I loved swift for
      1)handling
      2)gearing
      3)revv happy engine
      4)styling(subjective)
      5)Driving comfort
Only because of the above factors i choose the rattle prone, low space swift
Everyone know how cheap the plastic quality feels . The car rattles inside out(typical maruthi) and back seat is like an ancient Chinese torture game.

      bUT Now
      1) engine changed
      2)gear ratios changed
      3)suspension tuning changed.

Now no word about the real change in dynamics. If it fails in the above craiteria, Ritz will be a far better buy. Atleast it consist of a better space and comfort. It's a tall boy and it act like one.I like that tacho

      what about the beat?
      Is it good?.It looks good

Ritz is not too bad a handler. Upgrade rubber and that thing handles really good for a car its size.

      2)gearing
      3)revv happy engine
So there goes the main reason you wanted to pick the swift with the new K-series engine making its way into the engine bay.
      4)styling(subjective)
      Its getting too outdated now.
      5)Driving comfort
Hunh? Swift has one of the worst driving comfort wise thanks to the crappy seats and suspension setup.

      FTD, yes! Driving comfort? No.

If I was in the market and wasn't going to hit the tracks or do some high speed driving (read 150kmph +) I would anyday pick up a Ritz.
