There will be a few mm reduction in ground clearance of the car.

last week I filled Nitrogen from a pump near to the medical college, Alappuzha, and they filled all the tyres with 30psi.. Says thats how the fill it for all the cars..
will that be correct (for verna)?

36 and 33 is what the company recommends. For the stock size of 165/80R14. As you increase the size, you decrease the pressure.

Also, the company always specifies higher PSIs. So, a couple of pounds here and there wont matter.

Hi Silver rocket, you talking about Brisgestone Potenza G111 or RE88?
Stay away from RE88, they are no good.

G111 are performance tyres, I guess rotational too(not sure).
Presuming 185/60/14 is the stock size, ideal upsize would be: 195/55/15.
Don't go lower than this profile because ride will suffer.

      Thnx Bonfree

I am looking for Potenza G3.
This weekend I will go to the tyre shop here at cochin, and trying to exchange with my stock bridgestone with verna.
If i go for 195/55/15, will there be any change in my FE and any probs with full turns?

Glad I could be of any help!

If 185/60/14 is the stock size, 195/55/14 should be fine.
Sorry about the earlier post, it should have read 14 & not 15.

FE won't be affected much but Steering could feel a little heavier because of wider contact patch & the ride may not be as good.

You would have to see if 195/55/14 is available in G3, I guess it would be a hard to get size.

      sorry for being late

      sorry for the late reply,

      bridgestone potenza G III is not available in 195 / 55/ R14
it can be 195/60/R14 or 195/55/R15
will that be suitable for verna crdi sx?

After the rack and pinion change my steering wheel has gone back to its old lifeless self. My xm1+ tires are squealing even on hard braking from 60 or 70 kmph
I dont think i will be investing in alloys. Assuming I stick to the stock rims and the current 195/60/14 size, what would be a logical upgrade from the xm1+. I need a tire better suited to handle the verna's crazy torque and iffy handling at high speeds. Tire life should be decent (30 to 40k).
My first choice was BFG, but they dont come anymore. I was looking at ES100s, C drives, Maxxis V1, Acceleres. Can someone put these in order of preference?
