Honda Jazz Tyre Upgrade /Alloy Options

This thread will discuss all matters about tyres and wheels, including tyre options, upsize, alloys and other changes in the tyres.

The standard car comes shod with 175/65 R 15 Rubber with a 84T rating.
      This is interpreted as
      175 tread width
65 aspect ratio, i.e., height is 65% of the tread width
      R Radial
      15 Wheel size in inches
84 Weight Rating (Max 500kg per wheel)
      T Speed Rating (190kph maximum)

In some markets these are also shipped with 185/55 R16 footwear.

The ratings look pretty conservative for a 1055kg car (kerb weight). The maximum fully laden weight is 1435kg.

Recommended tyre pressure is 2.2/2.1 bar or 32/30 psi - front and rear. Note they are not the same, and the pressure is slightly lower in the rear.

I dont know about 16 inchers but I upsized my tires to 195/60 R15 yokohoma S drives. Steering got a bit heavier and feelsome , but i do feel that it became a bit more bumpy.
