I have used mobil 1, shell and castrol synthetic oils.

Mobil . smooth idle and revs till 3000kms ,later idle remains smooth but while revving the sound is rough.
Shell.Idling does not change ,revving is smooth way past 5000kms
Castrol..No difference in sound, infact engine sounds rough, but engine takes more time to come to optimum temperature and overall engine remains cooler.

pankaj, continue using the factory recommended engine oil and change it every 5000kms without fail. It's better than using synthetic for 15k km durations.

I bought mobile delvac 1 5w-40 for my i20 Petrol. It has covered around 53K KMs now. The oil descriptions mentions benefits for diesel engines, but says that it is good for gasoline engines as well. Is it a good option to use on petrol/CNG vehicles?
