Oh no! your story gives me jitters now. Mornings, it takes some efforts to start. I don't think it is related to ripping at all.

But even now, when I use the starter for more than 5-6 times in the morning, the Neutral and battery light dim a little which means the battery is being extracted badly.

Maintain the recommended air pressure, if you increase the pressure you will have a bouncy ride. I have not faced any issues with cold start, I check the battery once a week for distilled water level, make sure to have the right level. My ride starts in a single click even at 4 am. If you are facing issues with cold start, you can use choke before cranking the engine, run it for few minutes.

Guys, last 2 rides, I have been hearing a tak-tak sound during normal riding. I believe the chain slipping.

When I place the bike on center stand and try to rotate the wheel in gear, it does not seem smooth and also jolts the bike a bit.

      Any pointers please

I guess it is the issue with the chain. On regular usage it becomes loose. hence try tightening it and then check. If not then the sprocket has to be changed IMO. Not sure though. Have a check of it by getting it tightened.

Sir, Anything can go wrong with any bike. Be it 1 day old or 10 days old. Do check the chain for the tightness. Too loose chain will also give you the tik tik sound. You never know what all things will be wrong with the bike which is just delivered too.

i know that feeling i was scared of it too... but when u know wat it is you will actually laugh.

If u look closely the front mud guard is very close to the tyre, so when it catches some small stick or any gravel it hits the mud guard makes that noice, and once it is out u will have a normal ride again. I am sure the sound comes oly for a few meters right? otherwise will have to think about it differently!!

No need to be sorry, Thanks for your reply. I am not in touch with the forum last few months, so I may not be aware of your expertise.

I am going to check the chain slackness today.

I don't think so, the sound is not continuous. It comes and goes.
raama, anubis, when I put the bike on center stand and try to free wheel with gear, it does not seem to be smooth, it judders now and then, is it normal.

Sometimes the dust accumulated on the chain will give this type of sound. If that is clean then the issue would be in the Sprockets. Just a thought. Experts will advise.

Will you be able to post a video of the same? I feel the chain is the culprit here and also the grit which is attached to the chain! Clean the chain and check for the slackness. This should solve your issue. Else take it to BASS.
