This is nothing but a MATIZ. Even matiz was 800cc and all the spec is carbon copy. So all the matiz which they had kept in the go-down when they bought Daewoo will be sold as spark-800

I thought Spark was the next-gen Matiz anyway which GM got out after acquiring Daewoo? :?

Spark 800 is an interesting positioning and if it works right, could give the market leader, the ALTO a run for its money.

So Avi, it is better to see your alto then before spark 800 comes to the pic. . By the way if spark 800 (Matiz) is launched at the said price of 3L then man that type of car will make wonders, but we have to see what all things will be included and excluded from that

Chevy is not yet as complete with its service network.also, the chevy's are way off the FE that the alto achieves. this is applicable to the upcoming 800cc spark too. So, advantage maruti still exists.

No matter what Chevy brings out, it wont be able to beat the sales of the Alto. After how Daewoo pulled out, I doubt Indian customers will want to do anything with the Matiz or its successors. I think this was one of the major reasons for the failure of the Spark when it was launched. The bad blood from the Matiz still carried on amidst the owners and the general public.

Then you can't beat the service networking Maruti has all over the country. At that price range, people want cheaper spares and a hassle free vehicle. And Alto has lived upto that.

Guys i bought my late spark the day it was released.

It is underpowered for city use ie power band is similar to the ohc vtec,no initial.

Seats are pathetic,no thigh or lumbar support.

Its got a system where you floor the pedal and the ac will automatically switch off<compressor> so ac is bad.

      ITs got good space.

But how will it manage with a 800cc ?

This is to catch either the Maruti 800 owners as Maruti has stopped the 800 production.
