      Also the goofups they had made on the documents are not at all acceptable, even a kid will not do these kind of blunders, I will have to run after pillars to post to get it rectified when I try to remove the bank hypothication from the RC book.

      Also are they blind enough not to notice the missing "L" from the company name at the tailgate?

      I can imagine the frustration of having to deal with dealer and car troubles like this after you were so eagerly looking forward to the delivery of the car.

      Do escalate the issue with Renault. At the same time make sure you make some good friends at the service centre (preferably the works manager) so that you have a hassle free experience with the car.

      I have not yet visited the Renault Cochin service centre, dont know what more surprises are pipelined for me from them.

      Anyways I am pretty much in good rapo with the Whitefield service center AfterSales Manager (Subash, a nice guy from Palakkad). Moreover I am pretty much satisfied with the service facility over there, will post more once I have the driveshaft replaced.

      BTW, Is there any way to get the posts listed in the google search, if possible in the first page. I have added few tags with the required words for the thread, but its not getting listed with general search.

      This happens with every dealer ! Just that they quote different reasons for the 'Price Protection' threat every time. When I've booked my XUV, the same thing happened with me as well. At that time, they quoted the Diesel car tax increase as the reason for Price Protection & requested me to pay 75% of the booking amount in a week's time stating that they've got a internal circular from Mahindra. More funnier thing is the SA quoted Mahindra wanted to save the customers from this price rise & hence requested to deposit the amount for price protection. I checked with GH folks here & said to my SA that I'm fine with the price rise & they couldn't do anything about it. Finally I got my vehicle for the price what I was quoted during booking. No hassles.

      I was ready for the immediate payment so that I will get the delivery asap. But, why did they do this even after I am after them for an immediate delivery. Something fishy as the final date mentioned was the next day...Didnt they expect me to pay and ask for more money or pushing me for a cancellation so that they can get more money by allocating to someone else...?

      Congrats on your car 😃. Happy mile crunching. The price increase tactic is played by every delear in India doesnt matter which manufacturer. When i was hunting for a new car and even BMW , Merc were telling the same bull cr@p about future price increase, told on their face to come back to me after price increase.

      They do it so that customer's will pay money after which they can **** around with our happyness.

      Sad to learn about the trouble you had to go through with the dealer. Hope you tide over all issues quickly.

      Pls post your initial driving experience once you get a resolution to all pending issues ! I'm thinking of suggesting the Duster (110 PS) for my brother who is returning back from the US, end of this month. Will be glued to your report
