Plz suggest !! Suspension change/upgrade for Honda Jazz !

      Hello guys,

my 2010 Honda Jazz has done almost 1,50,000 kms on ODO. and after such heavy usage of my Jazz ,body line and engine sounds perfect , but some rattling noise has started to occur lately , which i doubted that is from the suspension and Honda mechanic also confirmed that ,YES it is a suspension noise and its time to get it replaced...

So now i am planning to get the suspension changed from HONDA itself, but my friend suggested me that i should upgrade it to some sporty suspension like KONI / Bilstien etc... which he claims that is going to cost me more or less the same as the original honda suspension...

Can anyone here suggest me that what all should i upgrade and what all should i not, and help me with the price and availability plz.

firstly...none of the aftermarket suspensions are gonna cost the same as OE suspension. They cost quite a bit more...even the basic Koni Dampers are gonna start from around 30k and then Additional expenditure on the Springs as well.

Going in just for the Koni dampers and fixing them with the stock OE springs...is just gonna make everything worse. So if u get koni...then u gotta get aftermarket springs as well...which will be additional expenditure n would make your ride really stiff and uncomfortable.

But, remember one thing all these aftermarket setups are gonna give u stiff ride but would make your car handle brilliantly..but u are gonna loose out on comfort.
So, if u plan to stack up miles like you have been on this car...then dont even think about going in for these aftermarket setups.

I have an aftermarket setup in my civic...its TEIN superstreet coilover suspension which IMHO...is the best aftermarket setup for our roads...because the one we get officially in India is tuned according to our roads.
With the TEINS u can expect the best of both worlds...brilliant ride quality n comfort n awesome handling as well...and then u can soften it up or increase the stiffness as n when u wish.
U can also increase or decrease the ride height...so essentially u can keep everything looking stock...the ride height n comfort but get the handling at par with European sedans.

But then...TEIN is quite expensive...and it comes in only 2 variants...TEIN basic which costs around 65k and TEIN SS which i have n costs around 90k.
Even Bilstien are great but again expensive....but then I have not really experienced them...so cant comment on them. These again would lead to stiffer ride n drop in ground clearance as well...AFAIK.

If u dont have the Budget and dont want stiff ride.. then stick to the OE Honda suspension only.

How much are you willing to spend on aftermarket suspension?

From what I know, you have KW-Coilover kit, D2 Racing, Ksport, Bilstein B14s available and Teins too for the Jazz. Most of which cost in the region of 60k-1.5L.

To find the parts list Google for Honda Fit followed by the coilover kit company I've listed above. If you are willing to spend that kind of money, then I can let you know who to contact for the same.
