Sorry, but Xenon XT 4X4 are still available but only on order as I don't think dealers will keep it in stock.

But pictures which you have posted are of Xenon Pickup. Also, TL comes with 2 Ltr engine, where Xenon Pickup is 3.0 ltr engine. ( as per Tata Website )

Hhhhmmm! So only the initial lot of Xenons were 4x4s? Because I know memo's was a 2.2L 4x4 Xenon. The kind of stuff he has done with that Xenon at off-roading events has dazzled many. It has taken a fair share of beating given the abuse he has been giving it though. But like I said earlier, it's one of those vehicles that will just steal your heart irrespective of all the imperfections it has

      - I don't think so. I heard it from a middle level Tata guy from Chennai. 4x4 XT is no longer available. Towards the end of my 2 months long search, I had 3 choices: Xenon XT 4x4, TL 4x4 and Getaway 4x4. After meeting that Tata guy, I had to take out XT 4x4. You may know that Getaway was not designed ground up. Pl look at the rear wheels. You will understand. So, I was left with TL 4x4. Of course, if I were ready for yellow board, I would have had few more from Mahindra's stable.

      - Having test-driven XT, I was curious to try CC. Hence that test-drive.

      - Yes, TL comes with 2L TCIC engine where as CC has 3L DiCor. Also, CC has a whole lot of features - all power windows, power ORVMs and it costs at least 2.2L less than TL. But, it doesn't have 4x4 and definitely yellow board. I think TL is a solid VFM vehicle built to last forever. It is a proven & reliable vehicle. Though it didn't do well here, it was well received in countries like South Africa, Turkey, Australia, etc. A simple net search would throw up several hundreds of TL ads, posts, reviews. Some of them are very passionate. Xenon doesn't have such fan following.

When it was introduced XT came with both 4x4 & 4x4 versions. I don't know when they stopped it. But, it is not available now.

Went and saw the Xenon crew cab today. Its 7.3 lacs on road with AC, power steering and power windows. The front seats are great, but the rear will be a pain for long drives. It uses the 112bhp 3liter DICOR.
Its a little tempting, but I'm in no hurry add this is not really an essential purchase. I mainly need it for transporting my bike and family together on holidays. The Figo plus chuckle rack does the job very well, but idiots on the road keep rear ending the cycle rack in their eagerness to have a closer look.
I also need to look at the Isuzu D max crew cab ,which has ABS and airbags.

in both the trucks, Utility wise they will serve your purpose 100% but rear seats on both are pathetic. Both use Bench seats with an upright seating position. If you want to use it properly, you may have to work on fixing the rear bench seats.

Yeah, a thinner backrest towards the top and maybe moving the base of the back rest forward a little. That would reduce the width of the seat though.
The other option would be to move the whole seat forward and incline the back rest as it is. That would take away leg room. Devil-me-deep blue sea/ rock-me-hard place.

The Tata Xenon is quite a popular vehicle, even by CV standards, so I was just curious if Tata had any plans to launch it as a BS6, and whether the 3.0 Litre had been/would be upgraded to the BS6?
