They are alloys wheels and not wheel caps, so they can't fall off.. Maybe they were trying out different tyre combinations.. And the last one without the alloys was probably for the Indian market, with steel discs and puny tyres.

Ferrari 599 GTO already sold out before presentation at Italian military academy
Source ::AutoblogFerrari brought out the big guns last night for the official presentation of the new 599 GTO. A big gun in its own right, it was presented by the company's chairman Luca di Montezemolo, chief executive Amedeo Felisa and vice-chairman Pierro Ferrari, son of the legendary Enzo. Which is a good thing considering the venue: Modena's Ducal Palace military academy... the same location, incidentally, that sister company Maserati chose to unveil the Quattroporte Automatic over three years ago.
The grand gala, which also involved the participation of Ferrari factory test drivers and military cadets in front of a crowd of 500 clients, almost seems like overkill. Never mind that the fastest road car ever built by Ferrari speaks for itself, and that the supercar is set for an additional unveiling at Beijing Motor Show later this month. But the 599 GTO, according to reports, is already sold out. All 599 examples of it. Which means that, even if you've got the £300,000 asking price

As you can see in the pictures, Mercedes-Benz obviously will continue with the front-engine, rear-drive format, as well as with a retractable metal hardtop which is due to arrive in 2012. The prototype model's heavy disguise and body cladding makes it difficult to distinguish any details, but it's safe to assume that the new SL will carry styling hallmarks from the German firm's "artsy" design language previewed in its most recent concept models such as the CLS Shooting Break and the F800 Style.
Even though details about the engine range remain scarce, buyers can expect a new 3.5-liter V6 with 306HP and the usual lineup of V8 units including the firm's newly developed 5.5-liter bi-turbo V8 for the AMG model, and quite possibly, an upgraded V12.
