Custom Open Cylindrical Air Filter for Maruti 800

varun560061 recently contacted me for a Custom Conical Air Filter for His MPFi Maruti 800.

Here is what we finalized after numerous discussions of the cramped space and fitment options.

      Details:

Application: Custom Designed Air Filter for Maruti 800 MPFi
      Part No.: AFN-50
      Flange Size OD: 50mm
      Flange Length: Approx 1"
      Filter OD: 4.5" (120mm)
      Filter Height: 3.5" (90mm)
      Net Price: Rs.600.00
      Shipping anywhere in India: Rs.50.00

The filter has layered polyester based Filter media which retains high flow charecteristics while not compromising on filtration quality.

It is NOT washable and is good for 15000 Kms of us under normal conditions and 10000 Kms under extra dusty or polluted conditions.

      Here's a fitment image from varun560061's install.

Just filled up the tank will check for the mileage and update.

I highly recommend Arrow Head to any one who wants to change the filters.

There are stock replacement filters available for many cars.

I am waiting for the fuel filter from AH..

Could you please guide me if it is a direct fit? IIRC varun560061 had to alter the air filter pipe?

Unfortunatly we have sold our MPFI long ago but later felt need of a small car to go inside cramped city areas and bought an used carb M800, does it also work in the carb version?

I made the filter originally with the Hose Size Varun gave me that he wanted to fix instead the OEM Plumbing but in the end he decided to change the OEM PIPing to fit the same filter. I can alter the dimensions of the filter according to the requirements. So if you want to fit it in your piping just let me know the Flange size you would require.

Here is how varun560061 altered his OEM Intake Pipe:

Jack Sparrow, as far as Filtration Capability is concerned this filter can cater to cars with upto 1000 CC Engines, if you want to fit it into the Carb 800 I think it should fit correctly but you need to check the plumbing Internal Diameter to allow the metal flange of the filter is able to slide inside it and be clamped from top.

The OD of the Flange is exactly 50mm

Let me know what the Carb 800 Intake Hose ID is.

For me, the present setup is good. The pipe does fit tight so that it will not come off.

The acceleration has been improved. Any way thanks ArrowheadFilters.

Next time we shall plan for a bigger filter but in conical shape this time.. Ha Ha
