General Motors: Weight Loss Diet Program- AKA GM Diet!

      Hi there,

I just finished my 7 days GM Diet program and reduced 2.9 KG and 2 inch waste.
It was my first attempt on dieting and the results were fruitful.

I came to hear about this diet program from few of my colleagues, who were also got good results after following this diet.
To summarize the diet for the 7 days:

      Day 1:
Only Fruits, except bananas. Fruits includes: Apple, Orange, Pineapple, Musk Melon, Water Melon, Guava, Dates, Pomegranate all cut into diced pieces, except pomegranate.
5 glasses of water through out the day.
This I've taken for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. No restrictions on the quantity of fruits.

      Day 2:
For Breakfast: 2 big baked potatoes added with a pinch of salt and pepper.
For Lunch and Dinner: Only Vegetables, which include: Carrot, Capsicum (Red, Yellow and Green), Beans, Cauliflower, Onion, Palak, Lettuce, Cabbage all chopped into diced pieces. Add little bit of salt and pepper for taste. All taken as raw. No baking/steaming/frying. 5 glasses of water through out the day.

      Day 3:
For Breakfast: Had the fruits which were mentioned in the Day 1.
For Lunch: Had the vegetables which were mentioned in the Day 2.
For Dinner: Half a bowl of Fruits and half a bowl of Vegetables.
5 glasses of water through out the day.

      Day 4:
For Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner: 2 glasses each of skinned milkshake with banana with no sugar.
Also had 3 bananas in-between to make the day going smooth.
5 glasses of water through out the day.

      Day 5:
For Breakfast and Lunch: Half a bowl of Red rice (chamba) with skinned 2 tomatoes.
For Dinner, had vegetable soup: Boiled carrot, capsicum (red, yellow and green), onion, cabbage, cauliflower, beans with water.
5 glasses of water through out the day.

      Day 6:
For Breakfast and Lunch: Half a bowl of Red rice (chamba) with vegetables mentioned in Day 1.
For Dinner: Started starving too much and finally broke my diet with 2 pizzas and celebrated day 6

      Weight before fasting: 77.9
      Waste: 39 inches

      Weight after fasting: 75.0
      Waste: 37 inches

They say that we can take as much as iterations we want with a gap of 2 weeks in-between.

I dont think 2,9 kilo loss of weight on a fasting diet is actual weight loss. You loose only water, muscle and fat What happens when you start eating normal food again? Your body will crave for food and you end up getting it all back plus a bonus of more fat than muscles.
After I stopped smoking I went up from 72 kilos to a whopping 92 kilos. I went down to 80 just by eating my last meal before 6 pm and cutting down on rice. All this has taken a year and after spening time in a gym, loosing about 2-300 grams a week.
There is no quick cure for overweight. What is your weight now?
