      Horn For Figo

Hi All, has anybody installed a horn in Ford Figo? Are there any implications on the warranty of the car electricals. I am thinking of getting a blow horn (mild level) fitted in a figo as I feel the company fitted horn doesn't go well with the car size it's more like a maruti 800 or alto (no offence to anyone please). Please can you share the details as I am an amateur and still learning

A FASS can void the warranty if there is any wire cutting which is needed to install an after market horn. I agree with you that stock horn is not sufficient to alert other vehicles and pedestrians. Would love to have horn like in Skoda cars but not willing to loose warranty.

But let us wait to hear from other Figo owners in the forum.

You dont need to cut any wires to install new horns, when done correctly.

I run after market Hella horns, and you just get the right relay kit which plugs into your existing horn wires...

I have this Skoda like horns in my car. They are twin horns, box pic is attached. What I understood that same horn gets manufactured by two companies, Hella and Bosch. Bosch one has issues where it goes into trouble if car gets a water wash. Hella is better and costlier of them with no such reported problem.

There were two prices quoted. 1850, with separate wiring, switch, relay and installation. 850 for installation via replacement method. Existing one will be removed and the new one would be put in place of those. No extra wiring needed. Installation done via Privilege Moto Mall in Chennai.
      I opted for 2nd one.

To be honest, my wife doesn't like the new horn [its not melodious], but I guess they are much better than stock horns.

Just heard about this issue. Not very sure, so do lets us know if you face any "water-wash-creating-horn-problem" issue.

As I had told, Bosch unit comes for a lesser price than Hella.
