      Drag FAQ

Can anybody participate in a drag? If I want to go with my stock car, can I? I'm not worried about timings and all that crap - just want to see what its all about.

Do I need any safety equipment etc.?

      Re: Drag FAQ

No, you don't need any safety equipment beyond working seatbelts, a helmet and trousers. Driving gloves are recommended but not mandatory.

You will have to participate in the Diesel 2000cc and above class, going by the most recent events.

Approximate costs involved, excluding transportation to and from the venue -- entry fee Rs 2000-4000 depending on the event. FMSCI Licence valid for 1 year Rs 550. High risk accident insurance policy valid for the days of the event - depends on insurer.

Thanks Akshay - that was useful. I plan to take my Indica though, not the truck. 1405cc petrol would fit into some class I guess.
