      Bought a Jeep...then Built it....

This thread is largely going to be a photo-journey that started in March-2010 and still goes on. I was a novice Jeeper who just wanted to drive a Jeep. Today, I have learnt a lot more but I guess am still a novice!
The Jeep has come a long way as the pics show. When I set out, I never thought where I'll end up with the Jeep but this has been a helluva journey!

Sequence is as follows. Not sure how to insert text between attachments:
The Jeep when it was bought > Upsized tyres to 235/75R15 from 6.00x16 > Converted from 2wd to 4wd > Tested it in sand > Took it to Lonavla > Fitted M/T Bighorns > Started the 14B conversion > Tested it at the Ahmedabad Great Escape > Sent it for a complete body overhaul and paint > Took it to Lonavla with a temporary color and a hand-made soft-top > Had a blast > Got the body painted > Adding finishing touches to the Jeep with snorkel and electricals > Took it offroad again last week

What's still pending? 1) Bikini soft-top 2) Rear seat cushions and 3) Bigger exhaust pipe dia.

      Hope people enjoy the evolution.

It has certainly evolved well. What else is being planned on it?

Nice. looks good. the sand pics, your tire pressure seems to be too much. i generally run around 10 to 15 psi while on sand.

True Godfather. Just too lazy to air-down plus didn't have a pump to fill up after offroad

Btw, anyone knows about how big should be exhaust pipe dia with the 14B? Still using the stock exhaust and am assuming the back-pressure at higher revs is killing the top-end. What are the parameters to be considered there?

      Cheers,
      Adi

      Hi Kanwar,

When you say install 1 muffler, is there a specific one that I can install? A muffler while muffling the sound does increase the back-pressure so am not sure if I understand your suggestion. Please elaborate.

      Cheers,
      Adi

Thanks Kanwar, Will post pics over the weekend of the entire exhaust system starting from the manifold to the pipe. Look forward to your help then.
