Need Advice on my Next Car/SUV/Cross Over

      Hi Guys,

It's been quite sometime that i have posted anything on this forum. For those who don't know I'm an regular IT guy , More interested in CARS than IT . Currently I have an I 20 Asta Diesel Bought on Sep 2010 having clocked 31000 Kms so far.

Recently i have started going long drives with my Family of five,I started realizing that i need a bigger car . Now here comes the confusion
What should i go far? (Sedan/SUV/ Cross Over). I have listed down my requirements , folks please suggest

      Mandatory Requirements

      1. Should Comfortably seat 5 with proper leg room and Space.
      2. Need to be a drivers car as well ( People can understand as me coming from Hyundai Stable, U know what i refer to right)
      3. ABS, Airbags (2 or 6) and other safety requirements
      4. Should have a boot where i can pack luggage's for long term trips
      5. Interiors should feel Plush and Comfortable
      6. Powerful Engine (1.5 and above)
      7. Should be decent enough to drive in City as i will using this to commute to office as well.
      8. I'm 6 feet , Pampered a lot by my family, so the car has to be comfortable for my size

      Optional Requirements
      1. Should be able to seat 7 (in case if i have to carry few additional people for long drives)

      other Points
      1. My yearly usage i guess will not exceed 15000 kms
      2. My budget i can go till 15 L (Ex Showroom Price)

      So guys , please suggest.

Looking at your requirements NONSTOP you are asking for a reliable people mover .

Sedans will not fit your requirements because there is no sedan which can seat 5 comfortably

My choice would be the Innova . It seems to till all the points in your requirements

Going by your requirement and budget Innova will be the best bet.

You will have to compromise on the luggage space when you need to seat 7 people, however you can mount a roof top luggage carrier for carrying more luggage.

But considering the premium pricing it commands for the features it offers , I'm confused, Also the rumour is that there is a newer version that will be launched in 2014.

Yes. The innova is expensive for features it offers. It has spartan interiors but it excels at comfort.
I am unaware of a new version being launched in 2014. That is new news to me

Innocent will be in a better position to tell us about how easy or tough the innova is to drive inside the city
camchennai can do the same for the safari
