      What SUV for Wife

This thread was long pending. most of you are aware of my wife's driving style.. for those who do not well lets just say that she drives good, and you need to hold on to dear life and remember even the gods that you do not even pray to..

generally at speeds in excess of a few 3 digits in the i20 I am heard screaming Jesus !@#$%^& Christ!!!

to get to the point.. she drives a modest i20 Asta 1.4 which is now 3 years old, showing signs of age (on body) the enigne needs a clutch change which will be done ofcourse and then the vehicle will be up for grabs..

she has asked me to source an SUV for her. criteria is good looks + she wants to stick to budget of 15L like that has ever happened.

so here goes.. I told her that in 15 L all you can get are the following

      1. Tata safari storme
      2. Mahindra Scorpio
      3. Mahindra XUV
      4. Renault Duster.

personally I do not want any of the above vehicles, I dont want to go over each of them individually since there are multiple threads telling the pros and cons of these models.

the safari storme is new.. I have no idea what this is like.
The scorpio is good but i am not in the mood for a mahindra brand.
the xuv.. well it has issues that people know about.. so I want to stay away from this.. but my Wife likes the looks..apparently it looks "cute".. now waiting for Metalspree to burn his XUV since he now drives a "cute" SUV.
the duster.. well lets just leave this out of the picture.. I dont even like the looks to begin with..

So here I am.. stuck.. not sure what to do but need a vehicle ASAP.

      Help!!

How about one more from the Ford Stable? Ford Eco-Sport.

Its not an SUV, but has some pseduo SUV looks, is small enough for the city and comes with good engine and gearbox options.

sorry.. my bad. it has to be a full size SUV since now I have 2 kids.. one of them is 5 months old, so wife needs to travel with a PRAM as well in the boot + other things.

I am pushing her for the B class.. she thinks it looks like an i20. sigh.

You are really back with this thread

Though XUV is infamous for it's unsorted niggles, it seems fit into the bill here. It has got nice urban looks, decent high speed capabilities, bit of luxury feel inside and lots and lots of features (which are great if they work) etc.

You have rejected Duster but I think you should rethink, though its highly overpriced for what it offers.

Ecosport doesn't come close to even Duster when talk about macho looks and little bit of that SUV feel.

If real SUV then it should be Storm. Now ownership reports have started coming and didn't notice any specific complain about that so far unlike how the people started complaining about niggles during initial days of ownership when they bought XUV..
