Safari storme seems the best option from the given list. Has killer looks, its fresh and has loads of space.
You can also consider skoda yeti..its not full size but its not small either! Has enough space at the rear. I have driven a friend's yeti a couple of times and its really comfortable and fun to drive too!

I think EcoSport can accomodate that.

      It's not a SUV right.

Very less option within that budget.

Heard & experienced the boat effect in that. Isn't it dangerous for her who does 3 figure speeds.

How about Aria even though it's not a SUV. Spacious as well as heard good in driving dynamics.
Otherwise give your Endy to her & get a new SUV for you.

Tata Safari Storme - 3 of my friends have them and they are still at awe that a vehicle of this quality came from Tata!!! Long term reliability is still unknown.
Almost niggle free, has the looks and the grunt and can take tons of abuse.

      Duster - Under-equipped, Under-powered, OVERPRICED!!
EcoSport - Too small? Hatchback on stilts!!!

If not, be prepared to flex your budget (as always). I'd have suggested T-Fort if not for its average ride and plain-jane interiors - It's still a very good vehicle. I'm starting to see the new Pajero Sport a lot more in my office parking - I'm yet to drive one, but it looks like a good option. It's on my radar as well.

godfather if your wife is not going to take the suv offroad then safari doesnot hold an advantage.
i have a 2013 xuv till now now niggles only one quirkiness it always plays the usb from the first song no where where the song ended on your previous drive
drive and suspension wise i would rate the duster higher than these but it is expensive for what u pay for
yeti is better than all these if its in your budget
