Partly agree & disagree. With Bridgestone Duelers, my XUV still sucks in braking ! Now what do you have to say about that I'm not blaming the tyres alone here. The entire chain has to be good enough. The weakest link always gives the bad impression. When you replace your tyres with good ones & then there's a possibility that you still may feel brakes are bad.
Tyres are all good but I need to know whether I should stomp or gradually press them which comes from brake feel

I have heard about XUV brakes. Wonder they will fix it or not

That's what exactly happens in XUV brakes as well ! Added to that the Duelers squeal like hell & if they're people around in such braking instances, they'll panic & look around to see if some accident happened

my two cents, how old is your car now? have you ever changed your brake fluid?, if you're getting a slight spongy feel maybe its because some air has entered the hyrdraulic circuit, did you ever bleed the brakes?

slotted brakes will not solve your problem, unless of course you do a lot of high speed driving and do a lot of panic braking, then it does make sense to switch to slotted rotors, for greater feel you will need a larger master cylinder, and/or larger discs, larger carriers(which do not foul with your wheels/alloys) accompanying pads, something I would not recommend, because its tricky to setup and troubleshoot, I would however recommend that you do get your hydraulic system overhauled, put in new brake fluid, get your brakes bled and possibly you will be quite happy with the result, also get your rear cylinders checked for leaks, most of the time brakes going slightly hard or loss of feel is attributed to either failed cylinders, or ones which are fused solid

blackhorn - There is nothing wrong with his car. I drove it recently and the braking is same as any other ANHC I've driven.

Though a thorough bleeding and change of brake oil is always a good thing.

Thanks Rahul for pitching in. Yeah there is nothing wrong with it but i don't just get a feel. I think the only thing wrong is in my head

I will change the fluid. Should i go for Dot 4 where as Manufacturer recommended is Dot 3?
