      Hi Gurus

I have tata indica DLX model 2006, Now a days my car's headlamp are not much powerful than other new cars, i am working in UK shift. i will felt office at 11pm its too difficult to drive my car because of the high beam of other cars, even i flash my headlight, they are not changing their lights to low beam. so i plan to upgrade my car's headlamp. I have 2 choice here
Gurus please help me out to find realiable and easy to install
1)Tata Indigo headlamp(dual light) shapes are much similary to My car's headlamp(single light), Did i can change it to tata indigo headlamp? Did it will take too much of effort by welding any clamps to Chase?
2)I had a chat with one of guy who installing Projector headlamp, he asking me total amount of 11k and one day to install Angel eye Projector headlamp. Is it worth?

Please suggest me to upgrade my headlamp

Just get normal 100/90 lamps from Philips and throw in a Roots relay kit in there and you are good to go! All done for about 1300 bucks.

Thanks for your input mclaren1885, Am already using the same setup 100/90 lamps and relay kit. I checked with my mechanic, my car headlamp doom is too old and it got faded also. So I replace the complete setup, here is the breakup
      1) Headlamp Doom(2):2900
      2) Relay : 480
      3) Fuse Hold for Headlamp (4): 280
      4) Philips 130/100 lamp (2): 440
      5) Blub holder (2): 140
      Total Amount : 4240
I need to test it brightness on tonite driver. If its not up to the mark, then i need to change it with Angel eye Projector headlamp

Ensure proper alignment of the headlamps beams too since your changing the doom.

      Guys
That setup works good, but you said wildWeasel, the alignment not done properly, so the high beam work as low beam and low beam throughs upto 3 feet from my car. High beam not troughs upto the side view mirror of scooty. Today i checked with my mechanic, he ask me to come after 7pm to fix the alignment properly, but my working shift not permit me to go at that time. So going to Garage on Saturday
Thanks WildWeasel & mclaren1885 for your vital information

The reflectors are not made to withstand the heat of the more powerfull bulbs and they fade.

What exactly is a doom? What fades? The reflector or the outer plastic lens?

There are so many people detailing in this forum. Ask someone to polish up the lens for you and it will look like new. A first wet sanding with about 2000 grade wet paper is used to remove the laqeur first, then just rub and polish.

That is one that certainly wont get you any brightness, unless done by one of the DIY guys here.

If you dont get brightness from your new setup, let us know, and we will suggest alternate bulbs that will be bright.
