Want to remove plastic "plate" in Figo Further

      Hi Gearheads, (specifically Mustang.101 )
In the engine bay of Figo Further there is a plastic "plate" on which the "Ford" branding and specifically TDCi is written.
My query is can I have the plate removed and use the car SAFELY without harming the engine? I want to do this for the simple purpose that I know i have a Ford TDCI engine and prefer to see more of the powermill instead of plastic plate.
Have some of you #Ford #Figo owners done this? Your inputs required.
      Thanks in advance.

It is just an engine cover and you can safely remove it. In fact, in the Ecosport, the cover is not present by default & sold separately as an accessory.

I am not able to understand the motto behind this.
      That plastic serves some purpose.
Moreover, you are not going to see the engine bay when you are driving.

Yes, if you wanna see can open the cover and check what you want and then close it. No need to run teh engine without the cover. afaik the plastic cover doesn't serve any purpose other than the cosmetic purpose. good looks and brand name on engine

It does. It covers the engine from not getting more dusty, from water, serves the purpose of noise reduction etc.
I am not able to understand what we gain by removing the plastic.
      getkaizer, please educate me.

You can remove the Plastic Engine Cover with the help of Star shaped Allen Keys. Generally, I remove this cover once in a month or two to remove and clean the Air Filter. I live in a dusty area so the air filter gets choked in 6-7,000 kms of running.
