ICEing the Eon was not an easy task. Being an entry level B segment hatchback, made to cost built quality was obvious. The stock car had lots of road noise and thin sheet metal box type built all around. We applied lots and lots of Damping all around.
Proposed budget for this setup was planned very low for around 20k further was exceeded to 30k. Even 30k for me looked tight. However, we stuck to the proposed budget.

Searched for some good deals on equipment for a week, finalized :

Head Unit : Kenwood x794 (US version of the legendary 7016)

      Amplifier : Hertz HE4

Front Stage : FTS Audio E62C 2 way Components

      Subwoofer : Dream Audio WF1224 S

Once the equipment arrived we begun by stripping the whole car. Found some interesting hurdles..

We stripped the whole interior of the car. Seats, Carpet, Door Pads, Gear Console and other trim panels were removed.

Centre Console plastic quality is pathetic. Head Unit Din size not standard. No hinges, locks or mounts to fix the Head Unit cage. Very disappointing for a Hyundai.

Being a low budget install, we used multiple layers of Bitumen Tarfelt sheets. Multiple layer application is quite effective. Whole cabin floor, lower half portion of the firewall, doors, door pads, boot lid with cover, spare tyre wheel well, rear wheel arches and some parts of metal panel were well damped.
Additionally, thick insulation foam was used to supress the road noise around the foot well and boot.

Wiring was also laid along with damping.

Used multiple layers of Foam with a layer of damping for extra insulation and weight.

Now the Door Pads, the stock speaker grille had a 4 inch opening. We removed the water protection wall and drilled extra holes to make it a 6 inch speaker grille.

Excellent work with the damping Rahul. I want that kind of damping for my car! Hope you don't mind a question here. Does the old school bitumen sheet smell by any chance? Is it ready-to-stick or did you have to heat it up to make it sticky?

And 30K with that kind of damping and equipments is unbelievable. Lucky owner. Any plans to visit/relocate to Chennai ?

One more question... The door could fit only 4" speaker right? Did you have to cut it out to fit 6" baffle?

Nope. No smell, tried and using it for the last two years. Its ready to stick, however liberal application of heat gun or hair dryer will make it stick better.

I had to dig deep to find some good deals. No compromise on choosing the Head Unit and Amp. The install took a sweet time of 14 days due to time constraints. Most of the damping work was done by my friend.
Quite tempted to meet Chennai GH folks. No plans as of now. Will let you know.

Neutral sounding components. Quite VFM. Midbass is the USP of this set, Eon's large volume doors and clean & ample power from the Hertz amp makes it pound and integrate good with the Sub. Silk Dome Tweeters are okay. Overall recommended for the price point.
Bought it for Rs. 4500 directly from Hermit Audio.

Friend bought it from me. He liked the sub during the audition and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Baffle was cut to accommodate 6" Midbass.
