3D printer in the house... @ Audio SymPro

      Hi,
I recently got 3d printer for my self. just stepping one step forward in the league of fabrication.

So , I started with printing the Grills for my Midrange speaker. Did a test fit on the Apillar and now its ready for some body filler, paint and finishing..

Also I'll be taking further orders for making brackets, grills, mounting or any other thing you could think off. Just to note that I have limitations of 8"x8" and 8" height in size. So the product should be within this size.

Awsome bro, BTW have already checked it on the your FB page. i think that is first in Punjab or maybe in India in ICE scene. Keep up the good work bro
Failure is not an option. It is a privilege reserved only for those who try.
The bottom line is that car audio is a compromise, and you have to decide what deficiencies you are willing to accept prior to delving into it. If you don't, you could end up spending lots of money and time swapping gear, only to find that it was all a waste to begin with.

Great to know that monty9991 ! I was thinking 3D printers were only a Science-Fiction Great work there ! Interested to know how much would it cost to fabricate for a A Pillar with a tweeter & a 4" mid range driver or with a simple tweeter on the A-Pillar ?

That is awesome monty9991 ! I had always thought that these 3D printers were confined within labs. Good to see it in India. Could this be the first one in India? Can you share more details about the printer and the costs associated with it?

      monty9991,

Great to see something interesting always (and different) coming from your side!! Just one question on this 3-D printer (i guess its rep-rap), isnt it talking quite a while to print your prototype. Do you think its economical/fast enough for bulk production. Since we are in this topic, check this out

      Great to see this.

How much did you invest in this? If you don't mind telling.

Would it be possible to print complete tweeter pods? If yes what would the cost be compared to fibreglass ?

      Hi guys,
Thanks for liking and I really appreciate your comments. Well I think its the first in ICE scene but not first in Punjab.
For now I dont think we can print pods for A pillar or something coz that will take lots of measurements involved and that would only be possible until we are done half way of fiber glassing.

This is best to make prototypes or just one or two pieces. the cost involved in this was about 50k and this is a DIY kit.
Here is finished 3D printed grill.

      So,
here is the final product after painting it.
I have done the putty work and I should have done it better .. but not bad for the first timer.. Later the primer and paint was done at the local shop..

      CAD -> Actual .. WOW!!!
