Wego is tried and tested. Jupiter is relative new, looks good and claims better milage. Both are good. Tough choice

Wego and Jupiter have the same engine. Jupiter does not have the front disc brake option, nor does it have the glove-box, IIRC. Test rode both of them two weeks ago. Both behave more or less the same on the road. No complaints on the ride quality or power. I felt the Jupiter to be a tad lighter compared to Wego.

      Hi
Just now I drove Jupiter and Wego again.
Wego ride is too too good. It handles well too.
Kindly tell me about aviator review. I felt one odd thing about aviator is that it has 12 inch rim at front and 10 inch at rear, is it as per law of physics?
Has anybody compared ride and handling of Wego/Jupiter and aviator?
      Thx

Hi TVS dealer here was very reluctant to sell disc break version, why?
He was discouraging me for disc brakes saying it's of no use in city. I insisted.
      Why this attitude?

Hey joshiks7, before which vehicle she used?
I would give you my verdict on Wego . Have been using not one but 2 Wegos from past 1 and half years(jun and aug 2012).
Both of my sisters got it, Since I am the sole adv regarding bikes and cars at home my bro-in-laws went and bought it for them.
So both the vehicles on an average does 15-20kms everyday (Odo 6500k). Gives constant mileage of 52 kmpl. (Company promised us 55kmpl) New variant claims more.

One of them I use it regularly for myself. (Except holidays and vacations etc etc)
Its perfect for city use, even tall people felt it comfortable. Perfect I mean perfect for ride handling and balance. Lightweight.
From dead stop I can use one hand and throttle(w/o pillion) Other mopeds just drift away to either side if u do so. With pillion its little off balance in traffic while you slow down or move. But I can assure you its close enough as a Motorbike. My sisters feel it very very easy to ride. They just love it. Even with me on the pillion they dont have to worry about loosing balance or stuffs. Since its Lightweight added advantage.
Maintenance is dead easy and cheap Regularly we get it serviced in Prakruthi TVS Bangalore.
I maintain the air pressure on both the tires regularly. Early morning with choke a single kick, vehicle starts ( w/o throttle). Polish it once in 3 months as its black color.

Vehicle still sounds, smooth so far so good for me.

I would suggest to go for it. I dont know abt Jupiter, I feel it little ugly compared to Wego. And matt paint finish I guess they wont give any Warranty.
Aviator or Activa I ruled out for reason that, Honda's after sale service is very very poor, they have so much to do they wont even bother abt ur vehicle. And they are heavy, not a problem for us but for ladies i would not recommend that. Aviator while braking you would feel off balance in fact scary at just 50kmph.

      hope my review helped
      Peace \,,/

Yes its true, Its not at all useful for a moped.
IF not applied properly worst is vehicle may just tip off. some people get scared and hard brake that can tip off the vehicle, like bad roads, mud/wet road etc.
I am not using disc version. For 50-60kmph vehicle just slow down and stops perfectly without any worry. You would feel very confidant.
Unlike bikes moped doesnt need disc version its of nearly no use.

Wego handles superbly compared to Activa etc. It has bigger wheels and also putting the centre stand is very easy unlike the Activa. I think Wego would be a perfect bike. Aviator will be much heavy and difficult for ladies to use. Don't know much about Jupiter. I would suggest that you go for Wego.

Check this thread as well. Will be useful to take a decision.

      Sid S and roadracer,
Thx a lot. I have dropped aviator then.
Now, it's Wego for sure. To be booked tomorrow.
One confusion, disc or no disc. I am ready to pay premium if it's really useful.
      Thx a lot
