Question Hid Upgrade for Honda Accord 2009 - Low beam

      Hi,

I am looking to upgrade the stock lamps to an HID for the low beam : 9006/HB4 Whats the best way to do this..

I have seen kb100's article and the pro and cons etc. So if i am doing it i might as well do it right.

So projectors with the HID kit 4300k and 35 watt ballast are what i would like to put in. I checked with avstuning and was quoted upwards of 40K for the same. Though the light would be good to have i am not willing to spend that much especially when i am between jobs.

If anyone can point out what kit etc as well as even a place in Mumbai i could get this done i would appreciate it.

My budget is 20K for this. ( also if it helps i have a pair of cnlights (9006/hb4) 4300k as well as 35watt hyluxtek ballast on order. though not necessarily to be a part of the above setup, if it can be used super, if it cannot then also is fine) For the High beams i will stick with the stock bulbs or maybe get the Philips crystal vision ultra

Bulbs may or may not be of use but the ballasts will for sure be useful for the setup

You can reach out to Concept Car Studio in Powai, they should be able to help you out.. for high beams- if you're not happy with the performance after the setup I would suggest you try Osram NB's

Night breakers better than the Philips Crystal vision ultra ? Was this on Highways with no lights or in city limits where street lamps also were present. also in rains are they better than stock ?

if they are i may give it a try.

I didnt try them on highways, though I used them in city in well lit roads as well as roads with no street lamps, and dark lanes. They were pretty bright and offered superb visibility. They dont have a blue throw, they have a bright whitish throw so visibility is quite good!

In rains and foggy conditions, they were soo much better than stock! In every condition as per me they were A LOT better than stock!
