      They could put posters on the car informing the public so they can call you about the case and put the name of the dealer. When possible, park the car outside the dealership. A dealer has to be thick skinned if he does not notice this.

      Hi guys..Jus updating this thread with the lastest happening..

      1. So my friends dad contacted the dealer about the problem, bt the dealer refused straight that there is no problem with the paperwork of the car or with the car itself. The dealeship is now trying to blame my friends dad , saying that he should have checked while he was booking the car.

      2. When my friend contacted HYundai customer care regarding the same, the customer car rep told her that the same above mentioned car has already been sold in September 2013 and an invoice was generated for it it under the name of Mr. V Sharma. This clearly tells us that the car is a used one or maybe the Mr. Sharma may have changed his mind last moment for some other model.

      3. When the dealership was approached with the following information, they in return abused my friends dad and asked him how can we can get all this information. So just last week my friend again contacted hyundai customer car and the car is still not under my friends fathers name, as he has still not received any invoice for the car.

      4. the matter was escalated to the regional offiice of Hyundai, and a meeting was held with the RO sales manager mr Sudipto Chatterji. But he dint come up with any solution.

      5. My friend then escalated the matter to the Hyundai Corporate office in Jalsa, New Delhi. Here the matter was taken up to one Mr Sounak Bhattacharjee. He is a Manager at the corporate office. My friend went and met him, and he assured her that within a week the matter would be resolved.

      6. While the matter was escalated to the corporate office, the dealership came up with two offers. 1. pay Rs.50,000/- more and exchange the 2013 I10 for a 2014 I10 grand. Second offer was that if a full refund of the car is wanted, then Rs 70,000/- will be deducted from the total amount of rs. 4.74,000/-. My friends father refused both since the first offer he didnt like coz he doesnt like the Grand. The second offer is outrageous since it was my friends fathers fault. The dealership is trying to cover up his wrong doing.

      7. while all this was going on, my friend kept contacting the Hyundai corporate office and Mr Sounak Bhattacharjee. they kept saying that they are pressurising the dealership for a full refund of 4,74.000/-.

      /8. Last week , my friend got and email from the corporate office and mr. Sounak Bhattacharjee saying that the FINAL OFFER that the dealership if offering is the Rs. 70,000/- be deducted from the full amount and the rest can be refunded. They have also given a date of 26th May till which this offer stand, after which nothing will be entertained.

      9. My friend replied to the email saying that if this was the case , what was the use of contacting customer care and the corporate office, if only the dealership and my friends dad had to do sort it out.

      10. Today my friend got an email from Mr Sounak Bhattacharjee saying that the corporate office and customer care cannot help in such cases, coz its between the dealeship and customer directly. i mean WTF. what are these guys trying to do/.

      Guys, please help. I know most of you will say go to consumer court, but my friends dad is a lil scared to do so.

      how long does consumer court take to sort out cases.?

      Oh the dealership involved in all this is FairDeal Hyundai, Jamshedpur.

      brendanbarrett70 - Dealer accepting to compensate itself is a Proof for his wrong doing. I hope you've all the evidences in written so that you can file them in consumer court.

      Consumer court cases usually will be sorted out soon unlike normal criminal cases. The more the proof you have the more quicker the resolution can be.

      Why is your friend's dad scared to file a consumer court case ?

      Well if he's so, then dealer will take advantage & obviously he'll overrule. If he want to get back his 70K then Consumer court should be the way.
