      Vento suspension options & upgrades

      Hi Guys,

Anyone here upgraded the suspension in their Vento/Polo. My 2nd set of shocks are on their way out and need to replace them. Dont want to go with OE as I find them too soft. Any idea if there are better shocks available here in India. The B6 was a option I was planning to go for.

Also what is the code of our car internationally is it the POLO 6R or 9N.

      Appreciate your inputs.

Dont know if Leela/RRP is selling kits for this car, because only they seem to get the correct balance between stiffness and handling. In fact, you get suspension that is not stiff, yet handles like a dream. You should check with them?

Or actually, megazoid will know the story here. Dont remember anymore what he went with on his polo.

The teins are actually very comfortable and at the same time handle like a dream.

I've driven megazoid's polo with both setups:

      1. Bilstein B14 - Very stiff, lowered, even on a straight road bounces around like a pogo stick. Impractical on bad roads, but on good roads it's a hoot to drive.
      2. Teins - Same ride height as stock, slightly stiffer than stock, doesn't feel bad in broken roads, infact made me wonder if it was stock suspension. At the same time body roll and handling are leagues ahead of the OE suspension.

I think Hari right now has gone back to the Bilstein B14s with Tein bump stops. That has made the ride a little less harsh.

But Teins are the way to go. RRP should also have just the S-tech springs for the Polo. But I'd recommend getting the whole coil over kit.

      Hi,

Even I am more inclined to the coilovers. Anyone have access to the part numbers as I can definitely import them way cheaper than what RRP or Petes would sell to me at.

megazoid, may have the Tein boxes which may have part numbers.

But then again RRP gets these made/tunes them specifically for Indian conditions. So the imported versions maybe stiffer.

I know for a fact that the rebound and stiffness of Indian coilovers isn't the same as the Euro spec.
