There is a company called Speedwav which claims to be selling 100% waterproof covers. Has anyone tried and tested their covers?

Snapdeal is selling their covers for Rs 2.5K is available with discounts at Rs 1.5K at their own website : Body Covers

      Hi All

I brought water proof car cover from this dealer which is mentioned in the above post. I used it for 2-3 months now. As said it is water proof, during rain water doesn't seep inside but the problem is I park my car road side, now during summer when it gets really hot the inner layer started melting and those material are sticking on to the body. People who brought the same cover from this dealer faced this problem.

Attached the pic for everyone'sClick image for larger version.

Beware of coloured car covers. I recently bought a brownish car cover which was meant to be waterproof and scratchproof but that cover gave me huge nightmares. After a couple of rains the water started seeping in through the stitches and the worst part was that the colour of the cover was mixing with the water which ultimately resulted in redish brown spots all over the car. Went to a car detailer and mechanic. He told me that these are due to the cover and can only be removed by polishing the vehicle.

I am not convinced that a 100% waterproof cover is even desirable. Any moisture under the cover will add corrosion to the vehicle. So some 'breathability' is desirable.
