Congratulations, get a safer parking for your car. I see it next to road in the pic. The new side steps are better than the one I have in my car.

How much did it cost you on road and how was the buying / delivery experience?

For elderly people and kids to get into the car. I was of opinion that they are more of a visual thing than anything else, however when I went with my Mom for test drive, I could see her struggle getting into the car.

These are extremely rare here and I get the impression that they are for show only. Here is a picture of a sidebar on a car. The mounting points wont carry any weight. These bars will at best save the sills from damage. A friend of mine had a car with sidevars but I have never seen him using those to get into his car.
My car has 1 step by each door when I open them but I never use it. After 286,000 km they look brand new.
