      Guys i see this thread has been abandoned long time ago.

      Just for the information, it is not necessary that you need to have a LGB or FISSME to race in Kari track. You can get a MAI (Motorsports Association of India) license and then you can rent FISSME cars to drive on the track. MAI license is mandatory even to rent and drive these cars. But, sometimes even without MAI license these cars can be driven, but it is illegal or the owner must be know very close.

      The FISSME and LGB cars cost much more than 3-4lakhs as some one were discussing in this thread previously.

      They are really fun to drive and it keeps you on the Edge while on track. 800cc cars easily do 160 or 170kmph and quite easy to handle compared to Formula Swifts or the esteems. The 1300cc cars tend to spin you off the track even if you make a small mistake.

      Dont know how i missed out on this one....

      I am in the process of building a two seater formula car. We hope to finish testing and start renting it out by November. These cars will be Super 7 replicas, but mid engine rear wheel drive. Will have completely adjustable suspensions that can be made newbie friendly. Will start a thread on it once we start testing the car next month.

      Pros compared to a FISSME or LGB car, will be cost of spares in case you guys run out of the track try enquiring about the price of a nose cone or wish bone and I am pretty sure you'll either drop plans or not push the car.

      Good to hear from you.. Yes im very much aware about the spare part prices for FISSME/ LGB. On of my cars was used in Kari's saloon class racing (Esteem) and if you frequent Kari Speedway there are chances you might have seen the car, its no. is 7234.

      Anyways, i request you to start a thread and post the pictures of your Formula car build. It will help and inspire many people. Please keep us posted on your project with pics and also the rental plans if available.

      In fact im also in the process of building a off-road 2 seater buggy with a 800cc engine. It is almost in the completion stage. Here is the thread's link;

      Looks like this thread has been dead.
      No Gear head is willing to rent a Single-Seater race car?

      I have, after a long search, gotten touch with this person in Chennai from a Racing Team, who is willing to rent a Formula Swift.

      50 Laps - 20,000/- (Fuel and Tire Included), Any Damage cost should be bourne by the driver.

      Well, I am not sure if it will a good idea to go ahead, considering the Formula Swift are quite a hoot to handle, and I will have to bear the cost of repair, if any.

      I am still thinking. Its a life time experience, but it can end up costing me a lot.
