Kindly share your inputs on how serious would it be because when I went to Ford service center they said the part is not available and it would take couple of weeks to get them. Has anybody experienced this problem?

The pic what you posted is of the gear linkage box. How oil is seeping there should be figured out.

That means they have identified the issue & wanted to replace the faulty part. Which part they were talking about? Didn't you ask them?

I wouldn't worry too much about this. You can safely drive the car until you get new seals.

I had the same issue with oil leak, If my memory serves me correct that is the gear selector cable bush, which is present inside the box. Its hardly a ten minute job to change it.

Yes, even they told me its small job but as the part is not available, I could not get it fixed It really sad that such parts they don't have in stock even after two weeks. I haven't taken out the car as to avoid problem on the road.

This issue was faced by me but i realized that if i drive away, the oil patch would be left behind and then when i park again in a different location, the oil patch is not there and so i concluded that i need to keep driving around to prevent this leakage from happening. Been running the vehicle 24X7 and have clocked up close to 89000 km now.

Ok Ok on a serious note....
This issue was faced by me and it was a case of putting a new copper washer for the oil drain nut.

Hi guys, Anirudh here. My first post on GH though I had signed up a while ago. Have been more of a lurker just reading posts.

But a few days ago I noticed some sort of leak in the engine bay of my beloved Figo and after some searching it seems to be similar to what Mr. Harish has.
I'm attaching a few pictures and hopefully one of you esteemed Gearheads could help me out.

In some places it has gotten really gunky and greasy. But lower down near and on the transmission I see an orangish sort of liquid which seems to be dripping out onto the ground.
