      Shell V-Power Diesel

This post is due for some time have not had the time to post it due to work. Have a Diesel Ford Figo in Exi trim with a code6 T1 remap done at 10K km (odo reading).
The Shell V-Power diesel that i fill up in BLR completely changes the character of the car. The engine is tons more refined and idling chatter is much softer. No much tremors after start up and engine climbs the rev range smoothly.

If anyone working in Shell is here (or you know someone in Shell), my congrats to your technical team for bringing such a nice product out in the market. Keep it that way please!

EDIT: I have driven with Shell standard diesel since the last four years and have filled non shell diesel only on 4 occasions. I have driven about 1500 km with Shell V-Power Diesel, fyi

Not surprised, I found my petrol vehicles smoother after Shell V-Power too. They say they have injector cleaning additives in it.
      Thanks,

Like other players in the market who just says this for name sake, the Shell might have actually included additives in their fuels and this is making the difference.

Try normal diesel with cetane boosters and injector aditives formula. I think it should give you the same experience..

I tried the Shell V Power diesel on the Cruze. Initial 150kms the car was flying. No other fuel I've used thus far has made such a phenomenal difference in the way the car moves.

But as I got to half tank, the car lost that shove and pull. And it started to get a bit sluggish. This I am assuming was the reason for the additives.

So I decided to switch to my normal bunk and the car is definitely moving better. I might have to try the Shell V Power Diesel again just to make sure it wasn't a one off case.

It definitely did make a difference, but again I found the behaviour around half tank a bit weird.

For now decided to stick to my regular IOC bunk + Stanadyne fuel additive.

I had similar experience. Felt the extra oomph initially. But, that didn't last for the full tank. When i shifted to regular fuel at quarter tank, i didn't feel any difference.

Must have cleaned up the injectors fast. Is there no difference in the Cetane ratings?

It definitely does have additives. I confirmed that with the Shell guys.
