Well, what do you say when Sebastien Loeb drives the pants of a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbodiesel on a 342km special stage and finishes just eight secs ahead of another legend Nani Roma in the awe inspiring Peruvian landscape. That is Dakar for you. Simply the most mind numbing motorsport spectacle that one can hope for. Here is a link to get one up to speed quickly.

This year's Dakar is different as Bolivia and Argentina are not participating and the stages are 100% in Peru. Today is the second day of the Dakar and the action lasts till the 17th of Jan covering over 3000kms. The action is 70% on sand dunes of the peruvian desert and extremely inhospitable terrain. Our own CS Santosh is doing extremely well on a speedbrain.

Can you believe that Toby Price, the young motocross genius severely injured his neck in an accident and than went onto win the Dakar after being told that he cannot race again. These men are special!
