This, I think goes to the S-Cross. I still think I should have spent a 70k odd more to get the S-Cross Delta.

Would have got the following features.

      1. Rear Disc Brakes.
      2. Cruise Control
      3. Dual Horns
      4. Keyless Entry
      5. Electrically Foldable Mirrors
      6. Telescopic Steering
      7. Height Adjustable Seat Belts
      8. Push Start Stop

I would have lost out on

      1. Height Adjustment. I've set the seat at the lowest, but if a shorter driver comes in, this becomes a useful feature.
      2. Fog Lamps. I would have added this as an accessory.

But more than that, S-Cross has a much better Ride Quality, has enough ground clearance to tackle our little mountains, more space and a feel of a bigger car. Unfortunately, S-Cross never "Cross"-ed my mind during the purchase decision.

      Thumbs up 10000 and running

The Brezza completed 10000 kms sometime in July. And got one more scratch, this time on the right rear door area all thanks to a Kamikaze TVS 50 rider who wanted to check out some fields while riding. This happened somewhere in Perundurai.

3rd service has been completed and the cost came to Rs 2500/-. This takes the total cost for services to Rs 5500/- odd of which the earlier service charges would have been zero, but I insisted on an oil change.

The Brezza continues to impress regardless of road conditions, road types and weather conditions. Braking performance has been solid even in the wet. No issues have cropped up and in typical Maruti style, it keeps going.

In between, my itch for a fast sedan cropped up and I checked out a lot of used cars and some new ones. Nothing worked out.

A few trips on really bad roads and slushy paths with deep potholes with 6 people and full luggage onboard reinforced the strengths of an SUV (compact or otherwise) in Indian conditions. Not once did the vehicle bottom out, even at places where I thought it would.

The remapped engine pulled effortlessly and the suspension took the beating with a smile and kept the occupants in comfort. AC doesn't move from 24C regardless of conditions and AUTO setting takes care of cooling the car. The cupholders and storage places gave more than enough space to keep all snacks, water bottles (Kids bottles included) and the myriad stuff that Indian families always carries and which magically brings out whatever stuff is required at the right time!!

During the fully loaded trips, a new itch cropped up. A bigger SUV to fill the want for a more powerful and bigger vehicle that could take 6 people in comfort. Yeah, its all excuses, and a total waste of money when the Brezza performs so brilliantly, but whats life without a few itches.
