      Hyundai Venue------>Length x Width x Height ->3,995 x 1,770 x 1,590 mm,Wheelbase -> 2,500 mm
      Hyundai i20 Active-->Length x Width x Height ->3,995 x 1,760 x 1,555 mm,Wheelbase -> 2,570 mm
      Ford Ecosport-------->Length x Width x Height ->3,998 x 1,765 x 1,647 mm,Wheelbase->2,519 mm
      XUV300-------------->Length x Width x Height ->3,995 x 1,821 x 1,627 mm,Wheelbase->2600 mm

      Going by numbers looks like Venue will be marginally bigger in Width and Height than i20 active .
      However it falls short on Wheelbase.
      XUV has the maximum width.
      Rest everywhere Venue falls short than the competition
      Keeping that in mind on the i20 active the 1.2 Litre Petrol performance is quite decent(Not Enthusiast grade).
      Also hoping that if Venue is lighter in weight will make things better for the 1.2 Litre engine.
      Keeping fingers crossed

I was already in the other side of the dashed line.
      Of course I slowed down. I was driving a car not working in b grade stunt movie.
      It's probably something to do with the car model though. People just can't stand to be overtaken.

      There should be a thread which says what to do when someone is overtaking you. I feel that's more important then overtaking someone.
      This is a very common phenomena encountered here as well. Most people doing 40 kmph or below will suddenly accelerate to prevent you overtaking them as if to prove a point. This is true for most vehicles right down from bikes, autos, cars and unladen trucks. People just dont care about a possible dangerous situation the other car will be in due to such a stupid move. Best strategy is to back off and wait for another safe opportunity to overtake the offender

      I always let other vehicles pass doing higher speeds at the earliest so that i can drive peacefully

      PU means polyurethane.
      It means its not dead cows you are sitting on.
      Artificial leather.

      Just had an update from one of the Hyndai Sales person here in Bangalore with whom i am in touch with regarding Venue.
      He is saying that they have been shown the vehicle today for the first time in flesh and they have bought other compact SUV there as well
      The purpose is to show them the real difference in size and spacing between Venue and others(Xuv300,Ecosport,Brezza...)
      I asked him about the size and if the vehicle looks small .He is saying that it looks almost same as Brezza in size .
      The Cabin is bigger in general and the back seat is bigger than Ecosport
      Boot is 350 Litres.
      I have asked about the engine being BS6 or BS4 to which he replied that the trainer is saying that Hyundai need not to worry about bs4 or bs6 which indirectly means that it should be bs6 compliant or atleast bs6 ready which is good news.
      Will keep everyone posted if i hear anything else

      Sorry for being OT, but doesnt BS6 requires major modifications to BS4 engines ?

      BS6 ready means they can be upgraded to BS6 when the new regulations are implemented ?

      Based upon my limited knowledge the major modifications are required for Diesel engines as against Petrol ones.
      At the least we expect Hyundai to come up with BS6 Ready engines if not complaint ones to add that extra value of proposition to buyers who want to buy the vehicle now and not post April2020
      Since the trainer did nt directly point out about the engines being ready or complaint we can only speculate.
      But in general the Petrol ones will be much more reasonable in price to be upgraded (If at all) as against the Diesel which is why people are shifting towards Petrol engines.
