      Vitara brezza zdi amt

      Hi All,

I have bought Brezza AMT 2 month back, I have clocked 2500 till now ,70% driven on highway and 30% city, current mileage is 15.5 km/l
As I am a daily office commuter always drive under 3000 rpm, I keep tyre pressure as 31 psi at back and 33 psi in front, for daily office commute we 4 guys
While driving with 4 person I found engine has to work hard to pull vehicle,
is it due to to the tyre pressure? 33 front and 31 back
is this the correct mileage of AMT?

Till now I have no complain, after 2 k rpm I allow car ti change grae automatically, so I dont feel lag in AMT, AMT is very smooth

pankajturang - Brezza is a heavy car as per Maruti standards. 1.3 L engine further is no scorcher anyways. It does it duty well, that's it. Four 4 persons, yes, it may have to work overtime. Tire pressure looks ok.
mileage is more or less ok.

Depends upon the weight of the 4 people too. 4 persons of average 70 kg are 280 kg. But 4 people of 100 kg pushes up to 400 kg. Engine performance will vary I think.

this may be the problem, maruti 1.3 engine gets turbo boost after 2K, so for best drive the gears need to be above 2K or the car will accelerate very slow. The gear shifts should happened in 3-3.5K mark to keep the next gear above 2K. This will also get better mileage.

The right pressure for Brezza is mentioned on the front driver door sill. It recommends 33 on all 4 tires and I keep it at that. Didn't feel any issue with 4 people or even 5 adults and a kid before I got mine remapped.

Tire pressure makes a big difference specially when its loaded.

Remapping a 2 month old car might void your warranty.

The Tyre pressures are cold Tyre pressures. So it has to be measured first thing in the morning. Assuming that the car has not been driven for last 6 hours or so. Driving to a petrol pump and filling the tyre to the door sill number won't work.
